That's because the shiny new solution is the shiny old solution: Since the time of this film's creation, record stores -- and vinyl records as a whole -- have experienced a level of resurgence. Not because of this film, which few have seen, but the trend does bolster the retroactive viewing of "I Need That Record," which can be described as an unabashed, unashamed love letter to the record store experience.
The conclusions it makes are both emotional and well-reasoned, and the argument itself is increasingly well-manifested in today's consumer environment, as more and more seek to augment their music streaming consumption with the pursuit and purchase of the occasional physical artifact.
