Solid exploitation-heavy creature feature

Warning: Spoilers
Arriving at a secluded mountain cabin, a group of friends on a weekend getaway brings a group of stranded travelers with them to make a party of everything, but when a monstrous, sex-crazed rabbit monster arrives looking to score with the women they must try to get away alive.

This here was an exceptionally fun over-the-top effort. One of the greatest aspects here is the bonkers storyline that manages to feature several enjoyable features. The initial introduction to the film gives off a classic monster movie feel with the scientists abducting the man and then turning him into the creature against his will before escaping, while the classic setup of a group of friends partying at a cabin in the woods who run into the creature is a fine continuation. As well, these classic elements are merged onto a more modern exploitation effort that makes for a lot of fun. The film's creation of a half-man, half-rabbit with an engorged member attempting to rape the group and kill them one-by-one is a fantastic twist on that old-school feeling, especially during the attack scenes where it's especially prominent alongside the continuous utterances of its objective. Likewise, the continuous sexually explicit scenes here that range from groping to softcore fondling and even fully-nude stalking of both sexes makes for a wild, over-the-top experience that has a lot of sexual energy. The other impressive feature here is the stellar gory attacks by the creature. Featuring plenty of limbs being ripped off, heads blown off by shotgun blasts, having their stomachs ripped open and their intestines pulled out and their eyeballs ripped out, there's quite a full-on assault of blood and gore here to mesh together with the other bodily fluids strewn around. With the killer rabbit especially soaked from the carnage which escalates nicely into the frantic finale where the full revelation of what the experimentations are about, leading into a furious and frantic setup. These here are what hold the film up. There are a few minor flaws here. The main issue is the fact that very little of the film manages to overcome its low-budget tone which is somewhat detrimental at times. This is mainly from the truly wretched-looking bunny costume which looks exactly like a party store costume for children as the ratty fur and cheap construction make for quite a laughably cheap monster. As well, the crazed finale feels like it's tacked on to stretch out the running time as it comes out of nowhere and brings up several intriguing ideas that could've been explored or explained more. These here are what mainly hold this one back.

Rated Unrated/NC-17: Extreme Graphic Male and Female Nudity, Extreme Graphic Language, Graphic Violence, several sex scenes, Rape and heavy drug use.
