A.M.I. (2019)
6/10
Let your heart tell you what to feel, not your phone...
4 July 2019
Initially I hadn't really expected much from "A.M.I." from director Rusty Nixon. But still, I decided to watch it when I was given the chance.

And let me just say that "A.M.I." turned out to be an alternative movie which definitely broke lots of generic formulas of horror movies. And it was actually a refreshing and welcomed change of events and pace that this movie had to offer. I have to admit that I was genuinely entertained by the movie and there weren't really a dull moment throughout the story.

The characters in the movie, well most of them are fairly generic and doesn't really stand out in any way, as they doesn't really display much of a backstory or have much influence on the storyline. But the lead character Cassie was quite interesting, and the combination of the character and the acting performance of Debs Howard definitely carried the movie quite well.

"A.M.I." is by no means your average horror movie, and as such it might not just appeal to everyone. But I definitely think you should take the time to watch "A.M.I." if you are given the chance. It was actually a very enjoyable movie.

This is more of a psychological horror movie than it is an average horror slasher or pure horror movie.

I especially loved the sarcastic take that the storyline had on the youth's of today and their unhealthy addictions to their phones. That was just a stroke of genius.

Six out of ten thumbs up from me for "A.M.I.".
