Geraldine Hakewill and Joel Jackson are perfect 1960s iterations of Essie Davis and Nathan Page. While Peregrine doesn't emit the same un-shatterable self-confidence as Phryne, Detective Steed builds the same smoldering sexiness as Detective Robinson.
I really, really hope for more episodes, as I want to see more 1960s versions of crimes and fashion in Melbourne.
I'm also desperately hoping for a reappearance of Phryne and Det. Robinson....hopefully with the two still together.
