As the film begins, some aliens are investigating an old house. In it they find a battered Teddy bear. We are then brought back in time to when a young family first put the bear with their newborn. Time passes and the little bear fulfills a need for companionship. Unfortunately, the people are not good stewards of the earth and pollution forces them underground. But what happens is a universal connection between the past and the future. Lovely effort.
