An American adventure; A story about a shy small-town Ohio girl who loves movies but dislikes reality, and discovers the delightfully bizarre films of Federico Fellini, and sets off on a strange, beautiful journey across Italy to find him. This nostalgic coming-of-age film, a homage to Federico Fellini, the Italian film director, attempts to capture the themes of his films:, magical fantasy, search for purpose, futility of idealism. The plot doesn't make much sense and there are a few inconsistencies about the girl's sheltered life, and a sentimentalizing of her innocence, but it is very watchable. Ksenia Solo gives a winsome performance. Some of the imagery might leave some viewers, who are not familiar with his films, nonplussed.
