Brooks Caldwell (Cary Elwes) is a successful Seattle lawyer whose status is attributed to his wife's family logging business. Amanda (Teri Polo) has mental issues and imagines her husband is having an affair every time he has a weekend business trip...and he does with Heather (Agnes Bruckner). Heather speculates what would happen if Amanda died, but Brooks doesn't want to go there. When Brooks discovers Heather dead from pills in their cheap motel room, he does everything he can to disavow his being there, only to discover his Lexus is disabled. He ends up in Creechville, and like Cheers, everyone knows his name...and that is not a good thing.
The theme of the film is heard early on the radio, "what goes around, comes around." It is an interesting film, but formula quirky if you get my drift. This has been a favorite among the smaller film festivals. It held my interest as I found it entertaining and amusing, but not a rip roaring comedy.
