. . . it's not hard to see why. America always has been divided between Fat Cat feline fanciers and durable desirous doughty dog people, comprised of We True Blue Loyal Patriotic Normal Average 99 Per Center Silent Majority Progressive Union Label folks. Throughout this series, the villain "Brutus" consistently represents the former basket of deplorable degenerates, while the heroic Popeye battles on behalf of the canine champions. FLEAS A CROWD is no exception to this general rule. As we all know, KGB sleeper cell members get themselves glued onto their weakest-link American targets tighter than fleas on Fido. It's obvious many of Today's FLEAS A CROWD viewers will immediately note the similarities between Brutus and the brutal current Czar of America, "Mad Vlad" the Russian. When Popeye tries to expose two of Mad Vlad's top operatives--anthropomorphized here as fleas--during a public exhibition closely paralleling the U.S. Intelligence Community's outing of the Kremlin's "Rump\Kushner" Crime Family during the fall of 2016, Brutus\Putin insidiously sends in a FAKE dog to rescue his pair of super spies. The rest of FLEAS A CROWD traces Popeye's desperate efforts to recapture these nation-killers, and prevent their invasive venom from gutting typical inadequately-schooled citizens, represented here by "Olive."
