The Face of The Enemy is without any doubt, one of, if not the best episode of Father Brown. Every single aspect of this episode is virtually flawless, a fantastic cold war inspired plot, great characters, and some fine performances, notably Richard Harrington. It's a real high point, a genuinely good murder mystery.
So nice to see all the show's regulars together in one story, Lady Felicia and Sid are much missed, so it's great to see them return, even if it's just for one episode.
Despite so many great elements, the real highlight for me is actually the performance from Mark Williams himself, his showdown with Whittaker was superb. I've always been a fan, I just didn't realise he was this good.
