I was expecting SILVER WOODS to be a typical indie horror flick. After all, the plot is about a group of friends who head off to the stereotypical cabin in the woods for a weekend that quickly turns dark. However, this one goes down the mystery/thriller avenue instead. There's a little on-screen violence and threat, but this feels more like a detective story at times. It's largely tame and shallow and not really worth the viewer's investment.
