Gidget (Sally Field) sees how the boys aren't treating girls as chivalrous as in the days of her dad (Don Porter). She works her boyfriend Mark (Robert Random) to where he begins doing things for her. Gidget throws a slumber party for her friends so they'll all have an excuse when the boys calls for a date at the last minute- to teach them a lesson. When the boys find out they go to unsuccessfully crash the party. They then try to get their girls one by one to leave the party by calling them on the telephone and having the others think it's their mother. What will come of Gidget's quest for respect?
