Star Wars: The Clone Wars: Overlords (2011)
Season 3, Episode 15

Very Powerful Star Wars Canon Right Here! Even With the Prequel Baggage!
28 April 2017
Overlords is one of the strongest episodes of the series. It explores the concept of The Force as something meagerly touched-upon, until Obi-Wan, Anakin and Ahsoka come across this planet, known as Mortis, where The Force is incredibly strong: powerful like nothing else in the known universe. Upon discovering this odd planet, the three meet these two mystical beings simply known as 'The Son' and 'The Daughter': two force-sensitive beings who may be as old as the galaxy itself.

This episode tells a Force story that the rest of the show hasn't seen since. The following two episodes make up 'The Mortis Trilogy' and this trilogy can even be a substitute for The Prequel Trilogy; if you desire that substitution. This is powerful storytelling in animated television, and this is one of many high-points for The Clone Wars series.

This episode alone compliments the things that make Star Wars great and rich with lore, and it's doesn't need to be one of the saga movies to be just as impacting.
