Sadie, It's Cold Outside (1974–1975)
7/10
Frustrations galore.
12 September 2016
Sadie and Norman have reached middle age together, Sadie's life has become a round of shopping, cooking and cleaning, while Norman's life is one of work, strikes and plonking down in front of the TV. Neither truly listens to the other's woes and complaints, even their daughter Marilyn seems a disillusioned soul.

The Seventies was a bit of a golden era for comedy, several classics were made, so Sadie it's cold outside couldn't be classed as a classic, but it certainly had its moments. Two fabulous lead actors, Bernard Hepton and Rosemary Leach, both loaded with talent, deliver great performances. A really fun performance from Lesley Joseph in the first episode, and a great turn from Donald Sumpter in the penultimate episode as the lazy plumber.

Sad it only ran for one series, but it's worth a look. This show boasts the worst opening credits you could ever watch, they are horrendous.
