No wonder he had that puss.

Pucker faced like a lemon sucking old coot, Ned Sparks had a head that would crack into thousands of pieces if he tried to smile. Married here to a harpy who is upset because he stayed out late, all he can say us, "We'll burn it" as she goes over their mutual belongings while contemplating divorce. Determined to get her back (why?) at any cost, he strives to hire a new cook but ends up in a matrimonial agency by mistake, being mistaken for a mad lonely hearts club killer. This short is amusing for Sparks' deadpan comedy, making him seem like the Walter Matthau of the 1930's. It's very amusing, but like most shorts, not as satisfying as the main feature. The credits do not give character names, so it is hard to determine who played the role of the domineering wife.
