Significant, but superficial

Warning: Spoilers
This one here is the music video for Michael Jackson's "Man in the Mirror" from over 25 years ago. It runs for 5 minutes and includes several important personalities from their time and age, many of these got assassinated. We see John Lennon, Gandhi, Martin Luther King, Robert Kennedy and more, but we also see people, mostly black children, suffer from poverty. It's certainly a good intention, but honestly I believe that this music video is style over substance. Maybe Jackson tries to be too relevant with this one as there is no story here, just pictures and recordings of famous people. I also cannot see a real parallel between the song and the video. However, the song is catchy and certainly elevates the material, which is why all in all I give this one a thumbs up and hands down, Jackson was always a bit too much in his music videos. Okay watch here, better listen even. Recommended.
