Warning: Spoilers
Or is it really? Actually, this 7-minute cartoon from over 70 years ago is really more about Figaro and Pluto, but it's still one of the rare occasions where the main mouse character is not Mickey. You can also see in this short movie here that the later years of World War II were the best times for Tom & Jerry in terms of popularity, so Disney let their two pets go against each other in the same spirit as well, only that it's all a bit more friendly and one does not intend to eat the other. The first aid and nursing references may be a link to female American working as nurses to treat wounded soldiers. Maybe Mickey was is mia because he is fighting? The makers behind this one (Nichols, Reeves and Cox) are not too famous today anymore, but were all prolific animation filmmakers. Anyway, the jokes are not too great in this cartoon. Disney has done better on many occasions. All in all, not recommended.
