Review of Dig

Dig (2015)
9/10
Dig has dug a beautiful hole in the middle of my brain, reaching treasure and forming a cave of corundum

I am very pleased with this new show. The negative reviews that i have read are shallow and judgmental based on personal moral standards which have no room in unbiased journalism. The acting is spot on, the plot is ever developing and unpredictable. Every episode, after the 2nd or 3rd, leaves me at the edge of my seat guessing at what will happen next. This show is not for people who are closed minded and have little imagination. If you would rather watch Fried Green Tomatoes over Indiana Jones then i suggest starting a series like The Slap (which is also a great show once you get into it) or Red Band Society (which is also good but in a sappy emotional lovey duvey sort of way). Both of these shows are great but they deal with realistic every day social issues rather than going deep into the world of the unconventional, supernatural, suspenseful, and at times controversial themes. If you liked the X Files, you will like perhaps even love Dig. If you cant handle seeing a bad bitch shoot a kid in the face to protect a prophecy, but you still want to see something with action and suspense and historical intrigue, then i suggest you start watching Da Vinci's Demons or Scorpion. These are both exciting brilliant shows that keep it fun without crossing the line of brutal realism that can be watched with the whole family. If you can handle some very mildly disturbing scenes (its really not that crazy at all), and you like sci-fi and shows that deal with ancient relics and rituals then this show is for you. Definitely give it a few episodes to develop and grow on you and then you'll be hooked. Like me. :)
