Warning: Spoilers
If you can ignore the sub plot of Allison and Jack's honeymoon, this episode advanced the story line very well. Unfortunately, it's very hard to ignore. Jack, with brier pipe firmly clenched in his teeth and wearing his corduroy jacket with the patches on the elbows, makes all the plans for a romantic honeymoon omitting one tiny detail: bothering to ask Allison what she wanted. He didn't even ask advice from his best pal, Ward Cleaver. Apparently, since he is a man, he already knows what she wants and takes her to a run down, moldy cabin in the woods. It's complete with see-through walls, leaky, collapsible roof and no running water. It's only ten minutes from town! Allison was clearly expecting white sand, palm trees and room service. She even pack a portable cabana. She did get to take a refreshing mud shower, however. I'm surprised wardrobe didn't dress her in pearls, chiffon dress and heels. It is completely unbelievable and absurd that Jack would do this without discussing it with his new bride. He has a history of going off half cocked, though. Remember his "surprise" visit to Zoe at Harvard?
