Pretty good

Jerrod Carmichael... I don't know who he is. He just popped up on my HBO Go and it's stand up so I gave it a shot. It's great. He reminds me of Hannibal Burress and perhaps a toned down version of Dave Chappelle.

There are some really funny jokes and insights, but then the flow of Jerrod's set is just awkward and disjointed. He would flow through some great jokes and then stop, grab his note book and then start a new joke. He's definitely up and coming as this seemed awkward, though probably intentional. He has jokes on really touchy subjects like Sandy Hook, 9/11, Boston bombing and other tragic events and just goes for it within even flinching. Overall it's a pretty good stand up for someone who's really young.

Not sure what Spike Lee did in terms of directing as the camera angles were a little weird and nothing special. DJ Premier did the music for the start / credits and it was pretty great.
