Rajesh Khanna had a feeble start in Bollywood with films like RAAZ but got an uplift with ARADHANA(1969) however this film he signed prior to ARADHANA and released later perhaps. The film is a family drama wherein the elder brother Balraj Sahni takes care of his step brothers and step sisters,Rajesh Khanna plays one brother and Prem Chopra the other, with Kamini Kaushal as Balraj's wife. The film is well handled by Raj Khosla, the emotional scenes are well handled, Rajesh and Mumtaz get lesser footage, but both got all the hit songs which made both popular.
Direction by Raj Khosla is good Music by LP is awesome, Most songs are sung by Rafi Chup Gaye Saare Nazaare is awesome, Yeh Reshmi Zulfein is superb, while Mere Naseeb by Kishore Kumar is awesome.
Rajesh Khanna was shooting for Ittefaq at the same time and hence appears unshaven in many scenes, he does a good job in his role Mumtaz is good, Bindu is awesome as the evil Bahu, Prem chopra is good Balraj Sahni is awesome, Kamini Kaushal is apt.
