Some of the characters from Angry Boys were adapted from this show, can be seen as a prequel. Ja'mie and the Sims twins were the two best characters of the show, so I'm glad they were continued in Lilleys' work. There is a different outcome to the characters though, spoiler.
The comedy is much the same as Angry Boys and Summer Heights High, portraying exaggerated stereotypes, sticking with his Chinese student excelling in his field battling with his stern parent/s. There are still a lot of cuss words, so this show may not appeal to everyone, but I laughed a lot.
The show focuses on 'Australian of the year' contests, the plot is a little silly and this is the worst of the 3 shows I've seen by Lilley, but it's still a nice starter, and if you're interested in something that isn't as dull as the current comedy sitcoms, this will do the trick for you!
