Of all the "Daria" episodes, this has to be the most dramatic, along with "Boxing Daria".
This episode follows directly the events from the previous episode "Fire!" dealing with a growing tension between Jane, Daria and Tom. While there were a couple of funny moments, for the most part this episode remained serious. But I think that it was actually a good things, since it showed that the "Daria" was able to handle very well a serious storyline, telling it from a convincing perspective instead of being a cheesy drama bomb (Like most of the so-called "serious" moments from "Family Guy") Anyway, the result was quite impressive, and well done.
For some viewers, it was "disappointing" to see Daria "betraying" her best friend But for me, it just merely showed that she, just like any other human being, has her own flaws and isn't a perfect character above everything.
