Crooked Arrangement
20 January 2013
Shadows Of Tombstone finds Rex Allen with a sheriff's posse looking for the outlaw who rustled his horses. Little does he realize at the beginning that the sheriff Emory Parnell is actually the boss of outlaw Ric Roman who did the rustling.

In fact Parnell's got a crooked arrangement with saloon owner Roy Barcroft and they run and loot the town and are involved in all kinds of criminal enterprises. The local newspaper run by Jeanne Cooper finds it healthier and better to look the other way. But Jeanne and her printer Slim Pickens come around to Rex's way of thinking.

In the short running time of Shadows Of Tombstone, a lot of western action gets packed in. Rex's singing gets kind of short changed here, but I'm sure the front row Saturday matinée kids didn't complain.

Fans of the Arizona Cowboy Rex Allen will not complain.
