If you every wondered why there was Chinese writing on the window of Emerson Cod's office you will find out in this episode; he lives above a Chinese restaurant. As he tucks into his favourite Dim Sum he finds a note requesting help in the fortune cookie. He goes downstairs and learns that the chef has died in what the police believe was an accident but the family disagree. Ned questions the dead man and learns that he has been involved in gambling at the restaurant and had gambled his daughter's hand in marriage! As they investigate there is another 'accident' which kills a waiter who turns out to be an insurance investigator looking into the chef's death which was a day after he look out a massive life insurance policy. When it is established how the gambling is happening Olive and Chuck get jobs there while Ned and Emerson infiltrate the game by pretending to be a couple of high-rollers. Away from the case a man comes to The Pie Hole claiming to be an old friend of Ned's father hoping to get back in touch; Ned doesn't want to get involved but Chuck and Olive go to his last known address and discover that Ned has a couple of half-brothers; and they are twins!

This was my favourite episode of the second season so far; it was great to see Christine Adams return as domineering dog breeder and former polygamist Simone Hundin; her affect on Emerson was hilarious. The case wasn't as surreal as most of the cases they investigate but was still entertaining; I especially liked the poker game where food took the place of cards and Chuck and Olive looked great in their red Chinese waitress uniforms. The secondary story involving Ned's family only took up a small part of the episode but hints of interesting things to come.
