You know what? I really liked this movie. sure it borrows a lot from other movies but it didn't just do so for the sake of doing it. it was a good looking movie(and that's saying a lot of movies with no money) but what really got me was the effects. this was some really cool stuff. There's this shot where a creature's head gets caught in the fire of a m16 at close range and it just goes off like a balloon. BOOM! it looks pretty sweet. actually the director must have a thing for exploding heads because there's this chick that takes a shotgun to the head at the end and just keeps coming that's pretty memorable too. All in all i think the story was tight but not ground breaking and the atmosphere was enough for me to buy this sucker at the end of the day. 7 for all the blood hounds out there and 6 for the sci fi crew who want space ships and creatures and technobable and James Cameron high tech.
