A friend of mine (a very serious comic book/graphic novel aficionado) watched this series with me. He could give background trivia about the characters and their history. About this other dimension where Batman disappeared and so forth ...
With all this information, it was quite a delight watching the show. The actors were great (and good looking might I add) and the actor who played Alfred was spot on. Unfortunately many things/themes seem rushed or not well thought through. The fact, that the show got axed after (not even) one season, might play a big part in this, but even the original idea has quite a few flaws. Still a fun ride and quite entertaining, if you let yourself loose and enjoy the silliness (and gloss) of the show
