The Dark Knight
6 September 2008
I loved Batman Begins. It was my favorite Comic book movie, because of how closely it stuck to the origins and how well the script worked. I thought that Christian Bale was the best Batman there has ever been. I see now how low they set the bar with the first movie.

When Heath Ledger was announced as the Joker, I didn't know what to think. I had never really watched his movies. But when the trailer came out for the movie and I saw the first glimpses of him, I was shocked and excited. I knew then that the movie was going to be amazing. I annoyed my family with my constant talking about the Dark Knight.

I like to know a lot about movies so I checked my sites for news. And then I heard that Aaron Eckhart was cast as Harvey Dent. I went into overdrive with my anticipation for the movie. It was all I could do to keep from talking about it every waking moment. Now I'm not one of those people who dresses up like the characters from the movie. But I was excited none the less.

I've seen the movie four times. Three in conventional theaters and once in I-MAX. I loved it each time more than the last. The acting is superb, the story phenomenal, the dialog was some of the best I have ever heard. It can be said that this could be a really good set up for the next one, or they could stop right here and people would still be satisfied. I have to agree. I would love another Batman pic following this theme. But if they decide not to I will not be disappointed. The movie works on so many different levels. There is not a plot hole in the movie. Go see the movie if you haven't already. And if you have see it again. This movie is #1 in my book.
