Review of Pilot

Vanished: Pilot (2006)
Season 1, Episode 1
6/10
Vanishing pilot should provide enough plot for all season...
21 August 2006
Warning: Spoilers
A senator's wife disappears from a dinner in her honor. The agent assigned to the case is recovering from a bombing of a boy. The senator's daughter may be involved with someone who may or may not have caused the kidnapping. At the end, we're at a bar where a man looks at the TV, sees the missing woman, and recognizes her as a woman he proposed marriage to ten years ago who disappeared then and knew her under another name! There's also a tabloid reporter and the senator's ex-wife who had never met his current spouse until a few hours before current spouse's vanishing. That's a lot to take in one episode but should provide enough plot to last all season. I certainly hope Ming-Na, one of my favorite actresses, gets more to do than simply provide exposition or stand ready to shoot but not get a chance to!
