Although it only ran for two series - a total of fourteen episodes - "Class Act" is a hysterical comedy showcasing Britian's national treasure, Ms. Joanna Lumley, at her finest.
For those that know her as Pasty from Ab Fab - you won't be disappointed - as the character Kate Swift revels in her own selfishness and vileness - readily hiding that heart of gold underneath.
The supporting actors are wonderful and the relationships they build with Kate quite intriguing - especially her antics with the Detective Latham. The "will they"/"won't they" tension with journalist Jack give the comedy-drama it's romantic edge, although it is subtly played and sadly, never quite resolved.
All in all - if you are a Lumley fan or just looking for some laughs, be sure to check this out!
