This one-off TV movie is one of my all-time favourite films. Scarborough has never looked more romantic and beautiful. Mayall and Bonham-Carter deliver thoughtful, subtle performances and have real chemistry. Above all, this story is simply pleasurable, each scene unashamedly romantic. I love this movie and watch it when I'm down. It's an old fashioned romance for modern people who wish real life could just be a little nicer.
