Welcome to this weeks review of Aew: Dark, I’m Phil and this is the last episode of Dark before Aew go back on the post-Covid road… Which means we might not be seeing some of the extras/enhancement talent going forward, which makes me sad. Anyway on with the review.
Match #1: Lance Archer def. Ryan Mantell
My Thoughts: Archer didin’t go ham on Ryan Mantell, giving the debuting wrestler a chance to show off before getting pummeled by Archer for the win. Made a real change seeing Archer wrestle for a little bit rather than just throw his opponent around the ring.
My Score: 2 out of 5 Match #2: Qt Marshall & Aaron Solow def. Terrell & Terence Hughes
My Thoughts: Terrell & Terence Hughes got in some decent moves in this match, usually against Solow, but you just knew that Marshall was Not going to lose this one, even if...

Welcome to this weeks episode of Aew: Dark, I’m editor Phil and let’s not mess around with extraneous introductory waffle and let’s just jump straight into this!
Match #1: Lance Archer def. Zicky Dice
My Thoughts: Zicky Dice, formerly of Nwa (and a one-time Nwa TV Champion), makes he Aew debut getting completely destroyed by Lance Archer. Like Totally destroyed… Throw in the ring, around the ring, and in the air. Dice never stood a chance.
My Score: 1 out of 5 Match #2: Abadon def. Willow Nightingale
My Thoughts: Between Ricky Starks’ reaction on commentary and Willow’s reaction in ring, this match made Abadon look even more freakish that usual. Willow Nightingale has been doing great work on Aew (and Roh) and it will be interesting to see her career trajectory in a few years time. Meanwhile Abadon… well sh was Abadon – badass and brutal as usual!

Welcome to this return of The Last Week In Wrestling, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and this simplified version of the column shall encompass all of the major reviews on the site and serve as the exclusive debut of many of the leagues’ different reviews, including the Major League Wrestling, Ring Of Honor, National Wrestling Alliance, Nxt UK and 205 Live, along with my versions of the two Aew: Dark reviews and the debut of New Japan Strong. These promotions will have their matches scored and the best match of the week will be named before we wrap-up with a verdict on the week in wrestling overall. Okay. Let’s kick some ass. Melvin McMelvin: You cannot say such things! Me: Who the f—k are you? McM: I am Melvin McMelvin, attorney for the Internetal Protectorate! I represent the decency of the internet! I got rid of Cambodian Thong Pies!

Welcome to this weeks review of Aew Dark: Elevation, the promotions second YouTube show that aims to showcase new and upcoming talent. We’ve had a good couple of weeks from this show so let’s see how this week fares… Oh sh*t, we’re not off to a good start with another 150 minute show!
Match #1: Jungle Boy def. Adrian Alanis
My Thoughts: Adrian Alanis got to go it alone in his first singles match against Jungle Boy, and wouldn’t you know it this was another of Aew’s quasi-squash matches, with just enough action to give this some length but featuring Jungle Boy pretty much railing on Alanis for the duration. Still I could watch Jungle Boy do this all day…
My Score: 1.5 out of 5 Match #2: Dustin Rhodes def. Aaron Solow
My Thoughts: A great match between two men who are now, storywise, rivals. But what this actually was,...
