Comedian Jon Lovitz raised questions about the lack of outrage from Hollywood actors over the pro-Palestinian protests taking place at college campuses across the United States.
In an interview with Fox News host Jesse Watters on Jesse Waters Primetime, Lovitz, who is Jewish and outspoken about his conservative beliefs, expressed surprise that other actors weren’t being more vocal.
“People say, ‘Why are you speaking up? Why aren’t other people in Hollywood, who are way bigger names than me, not saying anything?'” Lovitz said. “And my answer is, I don’t know. I think either they’re afraid, or they’re afraid they’re going to lose… that it’ll hurt their business.”
Protests that demand a cease-fire in the Israel-Hamas conflict have erupted on multiple college campuses in recent days and resulted in arrests, student suspensions and heightened police presence.

Update: Judge Juan Merchan has not yet issued a decision on whether Donald Trump violated a gag order and, if so, what kind of sanction he should face.
Merchan listened to both sides during an hourlong hearing, at one point getting perturbed at Trump’s attorney, Todd Blanche.
“You’re losing all credibility with the court,” Merchan told Blanche at one point, after Trump’s attorney said that the former president was “being very careful” to comply with the order.
Prosecutors are pointing to at least ten instances where they say Trump has violated the order. That includes a Truth Social post that appeared to quote Fox News host Jesse Watters. “They are catching undercover Liberal Activists lying to the Judge in order to get on the Trump Jury,” the post quoted Watters as saying.
But prosecutors said that Trump added words to the quote, and it was not merely a repost.

Fox News’ lineup changes will shift two familiar faces, Jesse Watters and Greg Gutfeld, to primetime — a move that is bound to secure a ratings bump while ushering in a new brand of extremism that media experts warn could be a “liability” for the network in the wake of the Dominion Voting Systems settlement.
Announced just over two months after Tucker Carlson’s abrupt departure, Watters has effectively been crowned his successor after taking over the 8 p.m. timeslot, which had been occupied by “Fox News Tonight” since Carlson’s absence.
“Crowning odious Jesse Watters as the new face of Fox News is a reflection of Fox’s dogged commitment to bigotry and deceit as well as an indication of their desperation to regain audience share,” said Angelo Carusone, president of...

Sean Hannity opened his Wednesday midday radio show casually talking about Joe Biden’s handling of the debt-default crisis happening in Congress – but did not address a Drudge Report headline saying he was soon to move to Tucker Carlson’s old 8 p.m. Et slot as part of a major primetime shakeup at Fox News.
Drudge posted a banner headline on Wednesday claiming the exclusive, saying that “Hannity” would move to 8 p.m., and that Greg Gutfeld and Jesse Waters would be moving to join him in primetime. There was no attribution or additional information, however, and the headline linked to a Mediate write-up of the Drudge headline.
Fox strongly denied that any programming decisions had been made in the wake of Carlson’s ouster: “No decision has been made on a new primetime line-up and there are multiple scenarios under consideration,” Fox News said in a statement Wednesday.

Lachlan Murdoch declined to comment on Wednesday about what’s next for Fox News’ programming after the shocking ouster of Tucker Carlson, but the Fox Corporation CEO predicted that the conservative channel would do just fine without him.
“Our program decisions are made with the long-term interests of the Fox News brand and the Fox News business,” Murdoch said during MoffettNathanson’s Technology, Media & Telecom Conference. “So we make those decisions really thinking broadly or long-term in terms of what’s the best thing for the company … And we’ve done it before, right? Bill O’Reilly was a superstar, Megyn Kelly was a superstar, Glenn Beck was a superstar and we’re able to move forward with programming decisions that ultimately result in long-term growth and profitability of the business.”
Carlson and Fox parted ways on April 24, shortly after the company settled a defamation lawsuit from Dominion Voting Systems for $787.5 million.

In early 2011, Glenn Beck thrived in conservative media. Once a little-known anchor for Hln, he found his voice on Fox News, running neck-in-neck with Sean Hannity in the ratings and trading jabs with liberal icons like Jon Stewart.
Then, after a brutal and sustained advertiser boycott, Fox News fired him. New York Magazine reported that Fox News chief Roger Ailes worried Beck’s conspiracy theories had almost “engulfed” the network. Around the same time, a reality show star named Donald Trump began making regular appearances on “Fox & Friends.” You know how that turned out.
The different fortunes of Beck and Trump almost perfectly illustrate the unpredictable ups and downs of life in the public eye. In the years since Trump’s unlikely rise, one-time outsiders have climbed by clinging to his coattails. And one-time stars of the right have slipped.

Sometimes it’s hard not to be increasingly negative about a person when you read what they’ve done and what they seem to be proud of. But as Jesse Watters has proven every person is different and everyone has their own way of conducting their life. The positive notes of his life have largely to do with his job and how he’s a real go-getter since he’s been moving his way up through Fox News since he graduated college. It seems fair to say that he’s the kind of guy that knows what he wants and finds a way to go
