Jenny Han’s “The Summer I Turned Pretty” television adaptation made a splash last summer with all kinds of young adult romance and drama. Lola Tung brought main character Isabel “Belly” Conklin to life as she returned to Cousins Beach, where she has spent every summer of her childhood with her mother’s best friend Susannah Fisher (Rachel Blanchard) and her sons Conrad (Christopher Briney) and Jeremiah (Gavin Casalegno). Belly’s glow-up did not go unnoticed by both Fisher brothers, but she opted to strike up a romance with Cam Cameron (David Iacono) instead before things got a bit messy. A volleyball tournament and debutante ball drove last season’s plot, as did certain relationships.
Season 2 launched July 14 with new episodes rolling out weekly, expanding upon the events that drove the end of Season 1 home — Susannah’s cancer diagnosis, Belly and Conrad’s kiss and more. Kyra Sedgwick and Elsie Fisher...

The cast and crew of “Xo Kitty” gathered on the pink carpet at Netflix’s Tudum Theater on Thursday — one week before the YA drama’s premiere.
The series focuses on Kitty (Anna Cathcart), the youngest sister of Lara Jean (Lana Condor) in the “To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before” series by Jenny Han. Kitty travels to Korea to have her own adventure.
Han and showrunner Sascha Rothchild skipped the event to hold the Writers Guild of America Strike picket line. However, members of the Han television universe, including “To All the Boys” star Noah Centineo, showed up to support Cathcart in the spin-off series. Summer Madison, who stars in Prime Video’s adaptation of Han’s other beloved trilogy, “The Summer I Turned Pretty,” also walked the carpet.

“The Summer I Turned Pretty” has nostalgia nailed — and Amazon Prime Video’s latest promotion of the series proves it — as the cast sketch the Amazon arrow logo just like Disney Channel actors and actresses used to do with the Mickey Mouse ears during commercials.
An Instagram post shows most of the cast of the new series, adapted from Jenny Han’s book trilogy, eager to complete the task.
David Iacono, who plays Cam, Belly’s third love interest after Conrad (Christopher Briney) and Jeremiah Fisher (Gavin Casalegno) exclaimed “I’m so excited to do this right now.”

"Think about it statistically... how many people actually get shot by the cops?" Amazon Prime has debuted another new red band trailer for the indie film Emergency, a dramedy from filmmaker Carey Williams from the 2022 Sundance Film Festival earlier this year. It was one of my favorite films of all the films in competition, a very smart and entertaining look at the life of two Black students in college dealing with a terrible situation. Ready for a night of legendary partying, three college students must weigh the pros and cons of calling the police when faced with an unexpected situation - they find a drunk woman passed out on their floor. Starring Rj Cyler & Donald Elise Watkins as Sean & Kunle, along with Sebastian Chacon, Sabrina Carpenter, Maddie Nichols, Madison Thompson, Diego Abraham, Summer Madison, and Gillian Rabin. Neither of these trailers really capture the vibe of this film, overplaying the...
