As The Challenge: All Stars 4 final is airing on Paramount+, the fifth season of the spinoff show is filming in Vietnam.
As spoilers revealed, it features a departure from the traditional MTV Og cast the first four seasons had.
Instead, All Stars 5 brings in some cast members from CBS’ Big Brother who have participated in The Challenge, among other shows not named Fresh Meat, Road Rules, or Real World.
Production assembled a cast of that nature due to the upcoming season’s theme, which is also something never seen on All Stars before.
After some speculation, online insiders revealed the team situation for this theme, showing that the pairs were competing for the win.
This report will contain spoilers for The Challenge: All Stars 5, set to air on Paramount+ later.

While a theme for The Challenge: All Stars 5 has not arrived online, some fans have started to piece together the possibilities.
Spoilers began to emerge within the past few weeks, revealing an intriguing cast featuring MTV OGs and some non-MTV stars.
The Paramount+ spin-off had typically featured only stars who appeared on MTV shows Fresh Meat, Road Rules, and The Real World, with Kam Williams becoming the first former Are You The One? cast member on Season 4.
However, spoilers for Season 5 showed a handful of cast members from CBS’ Big Brother and other reality TV shows joining the All Stars spin-off.
While many fans weren’t pleased with that cast format change, the potential theme and team setup could interest viewers.

A disappointing update has arrived in The Challenge spoilers about the recently revealed cast for All Stars 5.
The update indicated that four MTV OGs shown in the recent spoilers are no longer among those filming the spinoff show.
In particular, one of those OGs was a significant fan-favorite star and former champion, while two others are returning after hiatuses from The Challenge.
This past weekend, the insider revealed what appeared to be the complete cast heading to Vietnam, creating a lot of excitement as fans saw some iconic returning stars, including former champions.
However, new information dispels the notion that specific individuals were departing with the cast for Vietnam.
This report will contain spoilers for The Challenge: All Stars 5, set to begin filming soon.

Spoilers for The Challenge: All Stars 5 could excite longtime fans as multiple “icons” from MTV’s past could participate in the competition.
While previous spoilers suggested multiple individuals who weren’t originally MTV OGs, more recent updates indicate otherwise.
There will still be several non-mtv competitors who have appeared in recent seasons of The Challenge.
However, returning stars who are fan favorites from earlier seasons of The Challenge may make up for that with fans.
The latest updates arrive as the cast departs for Vietnam to begin filming the fifth season of the spinoff.

Former The Challenge winner Zach Nichols said he has nothing against his former castmate from a previous season of the MTV competition series.
Zach, a former cast member from The Real World: San Diego, appeared in nine MTV seasons of the show.
Viewers saw him debut on Battle of the Seasons in 2012 and win that rookie season alongside his Real World castmates Ashley Kelsey, Frank Sweeney, and Sam McGinn.
Zach reached the final in three other seasons and was part of significant storylines with castmates he hooked up with or had showmances with.
His showmance with Jenna Compono became an ongoing roller coaster ride of a love story played out through various seasons.
Zach last competed in The Challenge since War of the Worlds 2. However, he appeared in scenes during Total Madness via video chat with Jenna when the couple had relationship issues.

The Challenge introduced plenty of stars to viewers throughout its 39 seasons, including Nany Gonzalez.
The beloved cast member debuted on MTV’s The Real World: Las Vegas in 2012 and then became a regular on the competition series.
Her most recent appearance came during The Challenge: Ride or Dies, where she reached another final, this time alongside Johnny Bananas, the show’s winningest competitor.
Unfortunately, Nany and Bananas came up short, losing to eventual champions Tori Deal and Devin Walker.
Since then, viewers haven’t seen Nany on any version of The Challenge, whether it be MTV’s regular seasons or one of the spinoffs like All Stars.
Rumors have suggested that she may not be interested in a return to the franchise right now.
However, a producer recently praised the longtime cast member, indicating he knew she’d be a star despite being “rough around the edges” initially.

In addition to his time in the Real World house, Knight also appeared on MTV's The Challenge: Rivals II, The Challenge: Battle of the Exes II and The Challenge: Battle of the Seasons. The Challenge: Free Agents wrapped Thursday night, with a reunion that showed some unseen footage from the past season. We spoke with gay former Real World New Orleans housemate Preston Roberson-Charles last summer when he was competing on MTV’s The Challenge: Rivals II. Preston was one of three gay contestants on Rivals II and, paired with his former New Orleans housemate and sometime antagonist Ryan Knight, he made it all the way to the ninth round. Preston is back for the show’s 25th season, The Challenge: Free Agents, this time competing solo for a chance at a $125,000 grand prize. And since the volatile Frank Sweeney was sent packing because of viral pneumonia in episode three, Preston is now the only representative for “Team Gay” remaining on Free Agents. Does he have the drive and physical prowess to make it all the way to the end? We have an exclusive clip from this Thursday night’s episode….

Frank Sweeney is volatile, sexy, a fierce competitor and– through one season of The Real World (San Diego, 2011) and three subsequent seasons of MTV’s The Challenge– he’s been absolutely riveting. Love him or hate him, he draws your attention.
Sweeney’s latest foray into reality TV, The Challenge: Free Agents, ended abruptly last week when he was kicked out of the game by host Tj Lavin because of viral pneumonia. Presumably, he posed a health threat to the other contestants.
Sweeney may or may not have been contagious, but he certainly posed a threat. A run of bad luck had him drawing successive “kill cards”, putting him into elimination challenges twice in a row. And yet he survived both matches. First besting Chet Cannon (who withdrew from their intense wrestling challenge after splitting his chin) and then, while very ill, pulling out a surprise wall-scaling win over Dustin Zito.

Plenty of news from Syfy today. The most exciting bit is that Tricia Helfer is returning to the channel, joining the mini-series Ascension, according to EW. Ascension follows a secret U.S. mission where hundreds were sent to settle in a new world. However, 50 years into the journey, a murder has everyone questioning their mission. Helfer’s character is described as “beautiful, manipulative and dangerous”– because Helfer portrays those qualities so well.
The channel is also developing a series with The Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman, as reported by TheWrap. Clone is based on a graphic novel about a man who finds out that there are clones of him when one burglarizes his home. If they can find a male actor as talented as Tatiana Maslany, we just might be willing to overlook the inevitable Orphan Black comparisons.
Syfy is also adapting Ronin… because someone doesn’t realize there...

Plus, Lacey tells HollywoodLife.com how she really feels about roommate-turned-teammate Wes! To say that Lacey Buehler's appearance on The Challenge: Battle of the Seasons was short-lived would be an understatement. The Real World Austin alum was eliminated on the Oct. 19 premiere, along with former housemate Wes Bergmann — and she tells HollywoodLife.com she learned a valuable lesson in case she's invited back for a second season: "I shouldn't be on a team with Wes!" "No, I'm kidding," she says. "It's really cutthroat. You come in to have fun in the beginning, but when it comes down to it, everybody's willing to do whatever it takes to win." Personally, I'd love to see Lacey get a second chance, if only because she appears to be one of the most quotable cast members yet. Who didn't laugh out loud when Lacey speculated that Zach Nichols and Frank Sweeney may have "kissed penises?...

I can't be the only one Beyond excited for the new season of MTV's The Challenge. Not only is the cast for Battle of the Seasons insane, they are all relatively new to challenges. As much as I love seeing Johnny act like an asshole every year and Kenny make fun of all the girls for being on crazy pills, I'm ready for some new drama.
We do still have a few Challenge vets (Wes, Sarah, Alton, Dunbar, Trishelle, etc), but I think we've got a great mix of new and old. And let's face it, there are so many exes here, it's bound to get really crazy. Hell, Danny and Melinda used to be married!
Below, we give each of the castmembers a superlative based on the promo and things they've done in the past. We also predict who willl make it to the final challenge. Comment and let us know what you think!

It's that time again! As The Real World: St. Thomas winds down, it's time to get excited for yet another installment of The Challenge! And this time, MTV is going all out by pitting some of the craziest season casts against one another in The Challenge: Battle of the Seasons!
With $250,000 on the line, the cast heads to Turkey where they will compete with their former housemates and live in one of the craziest environments we've ever seen. As you will see in the promo, Danny and Melinda are now divorced and on the same team. We've got my personal fave exes Jemmye and Knight on the same team. We've got more hookups and fights than ever. It's just pure insanity.
