After getting to share the screen space in two films Sunday Holiday and Thrissivaperoor Kliptham, actors Asif Ali and Aparna Balamurali will be back together for another film titled as B Tech.

It may be noted here that Sunday Holiday was one of their biggest hits which catapulted their star status in the film industry. The new venture will be bankrolled by Maqtro Pictures, which had produced Sunday Holiday earlier with Asif Ali and Aparna Balamurali.

The Malayalam movie Adventures of Omanakuttan, directed by debutant Rohith Vs and starring Asif Ali and Bhavana, may have passed by without making much of a blip after its release on May 19. However, the movie abruptly became the talk of social media over the last two days.

It all started with a post from director Rohith on Facebook, requesting viewers to watch the movie soon as it is on the verge of being pulled from theaters within only few days of its release.

In a desperate appeal, debutant filmmaker Rohith Pv whose Malayalam film Adventures of Omanakuttan released last Friday urged fans to watch the movie before it is dropped by theatres. Taking to Facebook, the director wrote, “Those who want to watch the movie please rush, it would be dropped out from theatres soon.”

The romantic comedy stars Asif Ali and Bhavana in leading roles.

New films by Krzysztof Zanussi, Merab Kokochashvili and Jan Cvitkovic are among the projects from Eastern Europe being presented at platforms in Warsaw, Brindisi and Cottbus in the coming weeks.

The CentEast Warsaw-Moscow initiative will be presenting nine ‘works in progress’ from Eastern Europe on October 18 as part of Warsaw Film Festival’s CentEast Market.

The showcase will then be repeated two days later on October 20 in Moscow as part of Project For Tomorrow and, in a new development, during the Beijing Film Market next April.

The nine ‘works in progress’ include:

veteran Polish film-maker Krzysztof Zanussi’s new feature the Polish-Italian-Russian co-production Foreign Body;

Ukrainian Oles Sanin’s $2m historical drama The Guide, previously presented at Odessa’s industry platform in July;

Kannur (Kerala), May 26: "Salt N' Pepper" fame Malayalam actor Asif Ali Sunday married Zama Masreen Sunday.

Asif and Zama had a traditional Muslim ceremony, but after that, the couple hit the dance floor with friends.

Zama, who hails from Kannur, is a first year degree student at a college in Kozhikode.

On June 1, a gala reception for the entire film industry will be held in Kochi.

Since his debut in 2009 with "Ritu", the 27-year-old Asif has had a moderate success in the industry, but he has become a heartthrob of the younger generation.

He has so far acted in 22 films and even shared the screen space.

Aap Entertainment’s Tukkaa Fitt seems to be one film that will set the box-office registers rolling. Or so it seemed with the trade and the entertainment industry thronging to be part of this Aap Entertainment venture’s First Look Unveiling.

The auspicious moment was at the hands of Akshay Kumar, Mithun Chakraborty and a horde of other celebs at Novotel Hotel, Mumbai on May 11. The team of the film had a special bond which was apparent.
