RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars just refused to let up. After last week's twisty, drama-fueled Snatch Game episode, you'd maybe expect the show to pump the breaks on the intensity as it builds the season narrative and character arcs. But no, this week doubled down on making this the most brutal competition in the show's history with unexpected results from the queens.
What was missing from this week's episode was an underdog to root for - *tear* Tatianna's exit still stings a little.

Image Source: Getty / Santiago Felipe If you're a RuPaul's Drag Race fan, you'll know that one of the best episodes of every season involves "Snatch Game." Putting a Drag Race twist on the classic game show Match Game, each of the queens dresses up as a well-known celebrity, TV personality, musician, or public figure - basically whatever their beautiful heads can dream up. There have been plenty of iconic "Snatch Game" moments through the seasons, but last week's edition took things up a notch. As part of Rpdr All Stars season two, we witnessed Alaska Thunderf*ck as Mae West, Tatianna as Ariana Grande, and, most brilliantly, Katya as Björk. If you were delighted by Katya's take on the strange Icelandic singer, you're not alone. In fact, even Björk saw (and fell in love with) Katya's impression. At Sunday night's MTV VMAs in NYC, the cast of RuPaul's Drag Race: All Stars really dressed to the nines. On the red carpet, nine of the season's contestants - Coco Montrese, Alyssa Edwards, Katya, Ginger Minj, Alaska Thunderf*ck, Roxxxy Andrews, Detox, Tatianna, and Phi Phi O'Hara - channeled iconic pop diva moments of VMAs past. Included in the eclectic group were Britney Spears's "Slave 4 U" moment (snake included), a "Like a Virgin"-era Madonna, Lil' Kim, Aaliyah, Kim Kardashian's 2014 look, and even Lady Gaga's meat dress from 2010. In case you needed even more incentive to watch Drag Race on Logo, this might be just what you're looking for.

Get ready for the return of your favorite drag queens because later this month RuPaul's Drag Race is giving us another All Stars season. Can you believe we are already getting more eleganza when it feels like season 8 just ended?
In case you haven't seen the cast, here's our returning queens:
Adore Delano (Season 6) Alaska (Season 5) Alyssa Edwards (Season 5) Coco Montrese (Season 5) Detox (Season 5) Ginger Minj (Season 7) Katya Zamolodchikova (Season 7) Phi Phi O'Hara (Season 4) Roxxxy Andrews (Season 5) Tatianna (Season 2)
That is an overload of season five realness, but if it means the return of Rolaskatox, we are perfectly okay with that. Tatianna is the only returning early season competitor and maybe the season's underdog - don't forget she was the original Snatch Game winner with her Britney Spears ("I got lost!"). Overall this cast is heavy with strong performers ready to bring the drama. This round is forgoing the first...

Back in 2009, you'd be hard-pressed to find an average American who knew the definition of a death drop or how to read a queen for filth. That all changed with RuPaul's Drag Race, the must-see competition series returning this summer with its second All Stars season on Logo. And it promises to be bitchier and funnier than ever.
"The girls dropped whatever they were doing to do this," RuPaul says. "We've got a hundred girls now, so we could pretty much do All Stars forever."

Shante, you slay.
We're nearing the end of RuPaul's Drag Race's fifth season, and that means it's time to make an important list: the 10 funniest queens in the show's history. In an age when people like Vivienne Pinay and Ivy Winters insist that fishiness is more important than comic chops, we need to fight back. I watch this show for unbridled sauciness, wit, and unapologetic humor, and these ten queens all boasted fine gut-busting instincts.
10. Detox
I have to be honest: I nearly gave this spot to Tatianna, whose performance as Britney Spears remains Snatch Game's most hilarious triumph, but Detox is truly the funnier performer. Her wise-ass commentaries, chicken fierceness, amazing side-eye, jaw-wagging lip-sync skills, and general weariness of everything are total treats. She'd probably laugh more at herself if her facial muscles were capable of abject glee. I'm always waiting to hear her next confessional, particularly after...

RuPaul's Drag Race is a competition based on the unbeatable criteria of charisma, uniqueness, nerve, and talent, but a quick glance at the show's contestant history proves that deadly good looks may be a part of the package. And sometimes the package is part of the deadliness. Ow-ow! Cue the chicken laugh, Detox.

RuPaul's Drag Race shocked us last night, and not just because it staged a ballet based on the exquisite life of its star. Ru dared to eliminate both of the lip-syncing queens who flunked the performance challenge, and thus, we lost two ferocious contestants this week. The first to go -- and the less expected evictee, based on her standing last week -- is Vivienne Pinay, a.k.a. 26-year-old Michael Donehoo of New York City, who touted her good looks and comely femininity, but couldn't quite redeem her performance in the ballet as "America's Next Drag Superstar" or her uninspired lip-sync of Britney Spears' "Oops!... I Did It Again." At least she's in good company: Her competitor Honey Mahogany was also eliminated, and we talked to her as well about the dramatic episode. (Editor's note - We'll have Honey's interview tomorrow morning).
But first: Let's catch up with Vivienne Pinay about the competition,...

Last year on RuPaul’s Drag Race, one of the best episodes of the season was when Ru introduced The Snatch Game, a riff on the ’70s and ’80s staple The Match Game. You fans likely remember, but the episode very memorably saw queens like EW fave Pandora Boxx imitate Carol Channing and Tatianna take on Britney Spears. Last night was this year’s edition, and we saw Shangela take on Tina Turner, Delta Work do Cher (kinda poorly), Manila Luzon put on her best Imelda Marcos, Raja channel her inner Tyra Banks, and so on.
But, if you can imagine,...

We here at EW have made no secret of our love for Drag Race season 2 contestant Pandora Boxx (at left). Just take a look back at my TV recap of the episode this past March when she was voted off the show, when I called her offing the most “controversial elimination of the season.” Or, in the print magazine, when we wrote on Bullseye: “Pandora Boxx, in our hearts you are America’s Next Drag Superstar… even if RuPaul doesn’t think so.” We love! And, of course, we’ve loved seeing her return to Logo and the RuPaul world...

To open the series premiere of RuPaul’s Drag U, RuPaul described the little drag university she’d lovingly created. “Deep in the Titty-Caca Valley,” said the diva, “a school was formed to help biological women unleash their inner diva, and let the world have it!” The ladies, she continued, were “ready to change their lives through the miracle of drag.” Yes, girls and other girls, RuPaul has taken her glamorous lady-eye and turned it toward frumpy gals who need a little help from the other side. The other side, of course, being their lady-boy friends and former RuPaul’s Drag Race contestants,...

Face it: Summer television is A) not gay enough (True Blood can’t do it all!), and B) sadly devoid of the presence of RuPaul. But thank your lucky stars, because tonight TV gets gayer and draggier — and RuPaul reemerges! That’s right: It’s the much-anticipated premiere of RuPaul’s Drag U, the Drag Race spin-off that features some of the original show’s fave queens making over straight ladies — RuPaul calls them “biological women” — who are in dire need of some Tlc and a new look. Tonight, specifically, centers on “lady-boys” Jujubee, Ongina, and Raven — loves these three so much!

Talk about warts and all!
The good thing about reality TV is that it’s allowed viewers to see real-life gay and bisexual men in “real” situations. The bad thing about reality TV is that it’s allowed viewers to see real-life gay and bisexual mean in “real” situations.
Not really. We actually think it’s terrific that reality television has allowed viewers to see a much, much more diverse range of gay and bisexual men – racial and otherwise – than they ever see on scripted television.
And some of the most interesting things viewers have seen have been the relationships between two gay or bi men, whether they’re a couple, brothers, or just “frenemies.”
The bickering! The back-stabbing! At first glance, you might cringe and think, “Did they really have to show that? What will people think?”

If anyone can pick a pop culture winner it's the gays, right? Tonight at 10:00pm the Logo channel (our parent company) is airing the 2010 NewNowNext Awards. For those few people left on the planet who aren't familiar with them, these awards are about finding today what will be trending tomorrow. While other awards honor those who have already made it, Nnn Awards sets its sights on brink of fame up-and-comers who are just beginning to be buzzed about.
Logo's Nnn Awards have earned a reputation for calling the trends long before they hit the mainstream. Lady Gaga gave her first televised performance here, a year before she won at the VMAs and wowed the world. True Blood was showered with kudos long before it won an Emmy. And Twilight was nominated for an Nnn Award before it even hit the silver screen.

As I live-blogged the finale of RuPaul's Drag Race last night on LogoTV.com, via my Twitter account, there was quite the debate raging: Who should effing win this big ol' mess of a drag competition? (And I say "mess" with all the love in my heart.) Tyra, the fierce, Beyoncé-loving queen who had oft been called a "lazy bitch" by her competitors? Raven, the dark, trash-talking lady with pierced lips? Or Jujubee, the sweet gaysian glamazon with a heart of gold? There was no clear answer, as arguments from Team Tyra, Team Raven, and Team Jujubee abounded. And...

As a run-up to next week's two-and-a-half-hour finale extravaganza -- that's one hour of the actual show, one hour of reunion, and a half-hour of spin-off Untucked -- last night's episode of RuPaul's Drag Race wasn't just a regular installment of main stage action, of course. Rather, it was "The Main Event Clip Show," a sprite look back at the highs and lows of the season. In that vein, rather than just a straight-up recap here on PopWatch, let's take a look at the highs of last night's episode. Because, honestly, can you truly recap what was essentially a recap show itself?...

Last night's episode of RuPaul's Drag Race wasn't totally devoid of the dearly, dearly departed Pandora Boxx, who unfortunately bit the dust two weeks ago. The hour opened with the ladies seeing the lipsticked message my favorite queen left for them on the workroom's mirror: "Lick this boxx, bitch." Even post-elimination, Pandora is still bringing the funny to Drag Race! Thank goodness! The episode featured the "fantastic final four" -- Tatianna, Jujubee, Raven, and Tyra Sanchez -- fighting it out for RuPaul's trio of fake Diva Awards. They each had to create a look for three different awards shows: the Teen Diva Awards,...

When just five contestants remain in any reality competition that you care about remotely, every single elimination stings. Well, mostly -- and yes, I'm gazing in your direction, Tatianna. But last night's elimination on RuPaul's Drag Race stung more than just a usual top-five send-off. You see, my favorite constant on the show -- that'd be Ms. Pandora Boxx -- was forced to "sashay away," after the judges and RuPaul agreed that her "drag mother" had out-shined the sweet, hilarious Pandora. And at the same time, a lesser contestant -- yes, we're back to you, Ms. Tatianna -- was allowed to remain on the show.
