We've never seen an episode of "America's Next Top Model" with so many sulky faces. Wow, girls, you can be sitting at home on your couch watching the show like us or you can be walking in a hamster ball, having bees crawl all over your face, placing yourself on fire, and rolling in mud. Um, Ok, you can sulk.
On this episode, Tyra Banks tried to teach the girls about fame and how to deal with it. She also had the girls figure out what model archetype they are (but we're not sure how that fit into the lesson).
She surprised the girls in their house with boards filled with pictures, diagrams, and lists. She had them do important exercises like practicing their autographs. We're sure glad Tyra didn't take that time to teach them impractical things like, say, how to model. Sulky girl No. 1 was Molly, who still...

When we last left the leggy, lithe young things of "Antm" Cycle 16, Dalya had been sent packing (you’ll recall that her face was wearing her, not the other way around, or something like that), and that catty Alexandria had used up about three of her nine lives. The rest of the contestants had prayed to every McQueen-clad god in the fashion pantheon that Tyra and Co. would send Alexandra home -- along with her raging bitchiness -- but no dice. Alexandria has survived for six episodes. Let’s see whether she can tame her attitude and last for a seventh, shall we?...

Another fantastic episode of Antm last night began with a lot of bickering inside the model household! A Taco Toaster fire fuelled Krista to question Jessica’s abilities as a stay-at-home Mum, upsetting Jessica greatly.
The first Tyra Mail arrived and read:
Who Says You Can’T Fit A Square Peg Into A Round Hole…
The girls pilled into the bus and were taken to a location where Lord of the Rings was filmed! Met by Mr Jay, they were told they only 5 frames each to pose inside the doorway of Hobbit House.
Jessica struggled being too literally and too commercial in her poses. Alexandra was told she was too pin-up, Raina’s shots didn’t look comfortable where as Angelea and Krista were both praised for their performances. Both were confident that they would win: but it was Krista who took the reward!

America's Next Top Model contestant Alexandra Underwood has revealed the best compliment that she received from host Tyra Banks. The 21-year-old from Texas, who made it to the final four on the fourteenth cycle, told Digital Spy that she was approached by Banks following the finale's runway show in New Zealand. "She was impressed with my performance and loved the energy I brought to it," she explained. "Just to get that from her and for her to think that over the girls in the top two, and to make it a point to come and thank me, that was probably (more)...

In the first half of Wednesday's special two-hour America's Next Top Model finale, Tyra and her judges narrowed down their field of four to two--leaving by the wayside Alexandra Underwood, the curvy, quiet (or so it seemed) blond bombshell from Texas.

After watching the elimination unfold anew, Alexandra took the time to chat with me about her Top Model experience, and surprised me with what she revealed about her struggles in the house, how she's different than she seemed on TV and why her elimination wasn't fully justified.

Krista White has been named the winner of the fourteenth cycle of America's Next Top Model. The 24-year-old from Arkansas triumphed in last night's season finale over fellow finalists Raina Hein, Alexandra Underwood and Angelea Preston. She won a contract with Wilhelmina models, a six-page cover spread with Seventeen magazine and a $$100,000 CoverGirl contract. "I just want to pinch myself or something. I can't believe it. No-one ever thought it would be me," she said, breaking down in tears as the result was announced. Tyra told her that she was "amazing" and "the embodiment of America's Next Top Model", explaining: "You came in here didnt know what you were doing but you learned and listened and blossomed. There is an honesty and rawness about you that is so beautiful." The final had seen Krista (more)...

Krista White achieved her "America's Next Top Model" dream, taking those cheekbones all the way to the end.
On the Wednesday night (May 12) finale, the 26-year-old from Pine Bluff, Ark., had the goods to take down fellow finalist Raina Hein in front of the cameras and on the runway.
White began pretty rocky at the beginning of the season, but improved her skills each episode, winning challenge after challenge as she neared the finale.
At the final CoverGirl shoot, her photos were not as fun and flirty as Hein's, but White somehow worked through the commercial despite nerves, forgetting her lines and having to rely on cue cards.
The Anna Sui runway finale required the finalists to be lighthearted and fun, something that White was able to pull off even has she delivered a strong walk down the runway. Hein was clearly not as powerful with her walk, only improving...

And we’re down to the Final Four-slash-Finale of "America's Next Top Model" Cycle 14! Krista doesn’t want to go back to being a store manager! Alexandra knows she has to step it up! Angelea is silly as sullen and bitter as ever! Nobody likes Raina! She’s just too happy! Bring. On. The. Dreckitude. [Full recap of Wednesday's (May 12) "Antm" finale after the break...] Andre Leon Talley arrives bearing his standard tent robe and real flowers. As Angelea would say, here's some drama for your ass. Wednesday's two-hour America's Next Top Model finale began with Angelea, Krista, Raina and Alexandra competing for the title and the career-boost care package that comes along with it. But of course, before any runway could be walked or CoverGirl commercial shot, that foursome had to be halved to a duo. And Tyra Banks and her coterie of judges (shout-out to season-saver André Leon Talley!) made sure that the last two posers standing were as different in look and personality as could be. In the end, stick-thin Krista White, whose photo was tops three weeks in a row, beat out the "second coming of Brooke Shields," Raina Hein, to be...

Tonight on America's Next Top Model: The final four--Krista, Raina, Angelea and Alexandra (who apparently doesn't matter because she's not pictured here with a bouquet from Andre)--will compete for Tyra's title in a whirlwind of photo shoots, runway shows and Covergirl commercials, among other obstacles.
Two girls will be eliminated in the first hour, and then, after a runway show for designer Anna Sui, one will be crowned America's Next Top Model.
Photos and Videos from Tonight's Finale:

Who Should Win?
In our poll today, an overwhelming 76% of you thought that Raina deserved to be called the Cycle 14 Top Model. But will Tyra, Andre, Nigel and their special guest judges agree? We shall see. (And probably not.)

On "America's Next Top Model," who should come out on top in New Zealand?
Even though there are four model wannabes left, we get two back-to-back episodes Wednesday (May 12). So there will be at least one model who bites the runway dust before the finale.
Naturally, each of them have their strengths and weaknesses (and dramas). Let's break it down:
Alexandra Underwood - Wow, we're so thrilled that this plus-sized model has gotten so far, without the weird hang-ups of "Top Model" plus-sized past. She's has the unfortunate notoriety for having fallen down twice on a runway challenge, once when a giant pendulum actually knocked her off the stage. Ouch. She's been in the Bottom Two twice and only won one group reward challenge. It seems though that she's getting her mojo back and has been giving good face for the past few episodes, doing a great photo shoot with...

Tomorrow night's two-hour finale of America's Next Top Model 14 will start with four girls vying to be Tyra's next forgotten top model, but the final two has been revealed by Entertainment Weekly in its weekly TV preview. Final five, bitches! Alexandra is ready to flatten some skinny competition! Jessica is ready to use her face to fierce it up! Krista is on a “high high” after being picked first last week! Octomom, I mean Angelea, is starting to show her jealous stripes with onetime friend Krista. Oh, more intelligence on Jessica: She’s a stay at home mom who doesn’t know how to use a toaster without setting stuff on fire and then screaming until someone else puts it out. Fair is fair: This was the best episode of the cycle so far. Sure, it was still pretty crummy by Antm standards -- aren't the go-sees supposed to be a little more tense? -- but at long last, everyone in the cast showed signs of life. Stupid life, mostly. But life. Thanks, New Zealand! Raina gushed that the finalists were "the luckiest six girls in the entire world," but, like Norm MacDonald as Lou Gehrig, maybe she was being sarcastic. Alexandra confessed that her previous picture "was heinous," which is the best thing she's said all season. Then Jessica admitted...

Anslee is gone, and six girls remain for Cycle 14 of "America's Next Top Model" -- you know, the rustic sheep cycle! This episode sees the girls traveling to New Zealand to do their go-sees and check out the, um, fashion scene. Well, to its credit, New Zealand probably has a seriously ferocious wool sweater industry. Anyway, it’s down to Jessica, Alasia, Krista, Alexandra, Raina and Octomom -- I mean, sorry, Angelea. At this point, Raina, Krista and Angelea have the strongest portfolios, but Alasia just may have the most raw talent in the bunch, and Alexandra, last time I checked,...

It’s time to capitulate: Angelea has a personality that makes the saints cry, and she has the shoulders of a 400-year-old banshee who lives in a cairn, and she has a weave that belongs in the backup wig closet at the House of Xtravaganza, but she can model. At the opening of this episode of Cycle 14 of "America's Next Top Model," Angelea makes no bones about how happy she is that she got the No. 1 picture last week and saw the elimination of archenemy Brenda. Raina is bummed at Brenda’s departure; the two were buddies. Alexandra is sad too,...

Could last night's Top Model have been any duller? Somewhere between Brenda's blathering on about her haircut (still?!) and Anslee's clench-jawed perpetual sourness, I slipped into coma. This is just my subconscious typing this now -- obviously no person possessing both free will and the physical ability to turn something off would continue to slog through this season... right? Why is Tyra doing this to us? How can Antm possibly continue for more cycles, when this one is already running on fumes? This week, the modeltestants had to get up on stage, but it wasn't the acting challenge...

If the next cycle of this show doesn't have some kind of compelling gimmick (actual human feelings) or twist (Born Agains vs. Atheists), I think we might have to part ways. A dance-inspired challenge? Excuse me while I try to wrest myself from this coma. Nope, I couldn't do it, coma: 1, Tyra: 0. A blah challenge, warmed-over fights, dated references, and an elimination that arrived by telegraph months ago -- Top Model, why have you forsaken me? Brenda complained that she was having an "identity crisis" thanks to the haircut, and Ren said she was "93 percent sure" she was going to leave the competition.

The girls leave their New York home to find a 'Fab Bus' parked outside with season three star Tocarro Jones waiting inside. She tells them they will be split into two teams and tested on their fashion knowledge. Raina is named her assistant because she won the last panel. The Blue Team is Krista, Simone, Angelea, Jessica and Alexandra. The Red Team is Anslee, Tatiana, Ren, Brenda and Alasia. The first team to correctly answer five questions will win. It ends up neck-in-neck at 4-4 between the two teams as Brenda and Simone step up. Their question is who hosts America's Next Top Model in Germany. The answer is Heidi Klum and Simone gets it, securing the win. The blue team's prize - including Raina - is to meet with the reps from Bluefly.com for a go-see, with Simone being named the winning girl. The losing team has to help Bluefly's copywriters weigh,...

If you missed last night's America's Next Top Model, you overlooked the most surreal runway mishap in any of the show's 200 cycles. Model Alexandra biffed twice during her presentation: Her first fall was a magnificent Miss Piggy faceplant down an epic staircase, but the second was a slice of gladiatorial wreckage for the ages. A giant pendulum thwacked young Alexandra into the stands, ripping her dress and dampening her competitive edge. Ahem: A Pendulum. You may realize this is exactly like the old American Gladiators game "The Eliminator," where contenders had to dodge swinging obstacles that could feasibly knock them into a pit or concuss them for years. Insanely incredible. After the jump, we post the instant classic vid and four other ideas for withering reality shows in need of a Larry Csonka-approved overhaul.

Nudity, screaming, wipeouts, and the dawn of the André era -- but remind me again why this week's Top Model needed to be a grueling 90 minutes? It would have been (barely) permissible were it one giganto episode, but no, it was pretty plainly the ass-half of last week's also needlessly long episode, plus a full regular episode. I can't tell what's worse: that kind of cruddy last-minute patchworking, or Tyra's wrap jumpsuit with pockets. Just kidding..., of course I can tell. It was the jumpsuit. Let's do this, kids. When we left off last week, the modeltestants had just been...
