“The Bold and the Beautiful” will begin airing new episodes — the ones it has been filming during the coronavirus pandemic — on July 20, CBS announced Monday.
Per the network, these new installments will see Tanner Novlan join the cast as Steffy’s (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) doctor, John “Finn” Finnegan, and Delon de Metz come in as Zende Forrester Dominguez, Eric Forrester’s (John McCook) grandson.
Like all soaps not titled “Days of Our Lives,” “The Bold and the Beautiful” has been in reruns for the last couple months, as the stockpile of pre-taped episodes ran dry in April.

There are really times when people appear to Need to be angry and ‘outraged’ about something, anything, no matter what it is, as long as they can make a stink about it. But an exercise bike? Really? The Peloton is an exercise bike, something that a husband might actually feel would be appreciated by his spouse when it’s gifted to her, not a comment on her weight and not a slam against fat people that need body positivity and affirmations to feel good about themselves. It wasn’t an attack of any sort on anyone, it was quite simply an ad

Ryan Reynolds recently made it his business to help turn around the career of Monica Ruiz — the actress from the widely panned commercial about a husband who gifts his wife a Peloton exercise bike for Christmas — by giving her the followup gig of a lifetime: a leading role in one of his Aviation Gin commercials.
On Thursday’s “Tonight Show,” the “6 Underground” star explained to host Jimmy Fallon how “within a few hours of her ad” Reynolds and his team had tracked down Ruiz — which was not an easy task — to try to get her to participate in the ad, which you can watch here.
“I’ve been there in that position as an actor where you do something that doesn’t quite work. And I really wish somebody from a gin company called me right after ‘Green Lantern’ and was like, ‘Hey, I got something funny you could...

NBC’s Today presented the first major interview with “Peloton Girl” Monica Ruiz today, bringing along actor Ryan Reynolds to meet her for the first time and explain the ads that have driven the culture into a gin-soaked frenzy.
Ruiz seemed at a loss to explain the public fascination with her original Peloton ad, which sparked an internet outcry because she looked like an abused wife. Ruiz said the eyes have it.
“My eyebrows looked worried I guess. People were like, ‘You look scared.’ I’m telling you, it was my face, that was the problem, and it just exploded it from there. She looks worried.”
The ad sparked so much interest and debate that Ruiz, whose name was not immediately known, became a cultural phenomenon. “It’s crazy to see my face everywhere this much and see everyone talking about it,” Ruiz said to Today host Hoda Kotb.
Reynolds saw opportunity.

The man the internet has dubbed “Peloton Husband” is speaking out about fears that he’ll have trouble booking more commercial jobs after starring in the infamous viral commercial for the pricey exercise bikes.
His name is Sean Hunter, and when he’s not acting in commercials, he’s an elementary school teacher in Vancouver, Canada, according to Psychology Today, who interviewed him about the aftermath of the widely criticized ad for Peloton.
“As my face continues to be screen shot online, I wonder what repercussions will come back to me,” Hunter said. “It’s really hard to improve when all feedback goes against any type of growth. I currently sit here hoping that I’ll be able to continue auditioning for commercials without any taint, and that if my students happen to find the commercial and recognize me, they won’t think about me any different than they already know me.

The “Peloton Wife” is on the verge of striking up a new relationship outside her marriage
The actress who plays the controversial Madison Avenue figure in a commercial for the luxury physical-fitness company is back in a new ad campaign – for another marketer that has little to do with promoting a healthy lifestyle.
Aviation Gin, owned by Davos Brands and actor Ryan Reynolds, on Friday released a video ad for its liquor in which Monica Ruiz reprises her role as the woman whose husband gave her a Peloton bike in a different commercial, sparking a frenzied digital conversation over whether Peloton was reinforcing sexist images of wives forced to keep themselves thin to please their spouses.
The commercial showed the wife vlogging a year of her Peloton workouts, nervous in some moments and determined in others. At no point does the husband imply he’s dissatisfied with her appearance and the gift,...
