Garnon Davies has revealed that he is excited about the future after filming his final Hollyoaks scenes. Last night, viewers saw the actor make his final appearance as sci-fi fanatic Elliot Bevan, who left the village after securing a dream job with Nasa. In an interview with the official Hollyoaks website, Davies was asked whether he felt emotional during his last day on set. He replied: "Well, I'd known for a while that I was leaving, so I was quite excited in a way, but it was a really odd feeling. I think my character had done everything he was going to do on the show and as an actor it felt like a good time to move on. It's exciting to be back out there and auditioning (more)...

Hollyoaks star Garnon Davies has admitted that he exaggerates his Welsh background to play his character on the show. The actor, who stars as Elliot Bevan in the Channel 4 soap, revealed that his origin helped him to get the part because producers thought it added to the character's geeky persona. He told Wales On Sunday: "They really liked the Welsh thing - they went mad for it. They thought it just added to his geeky character. I had to ham up my Welshness to fit in with the odd perception of Wales the producers had. "The Welsh seem to have (more)...

Hollyoaks is to lose another handful of familiar faces over the coming months as four more actors prepare to leave the soap. John Pickard - real-life brother to co-star Nick Pickard (Tony Hutchinson) - will bow out of the Channel 4 soap as chef Dom Reilly toward the end of the year at around the same time as Ashley Slanina Davies, who portrays mum-of-two Amy Barnes. Glenn Wallace is also due to film his final scenes as Malachy Fisher, while Garnon Davies's swansong as sci-fi supergeek Elliot Bevan comes within the same few weeks. Little is known about their respective departures but it has been confirmed that storyliners are busy planning their exit plots. Speaking of his decision to leave, Glen Wallace told Digital Spy: "I've had such an amazing time up here in Liverpool at Hollyoaks and I've learnt so much both personally and (more)...

Jim Parsons, Jonathan Capehart, Trent Dawson
As a change of pace from the boring lists of obvious hunks , we thought we'd present some contenders for the AfterElton.com Hot 100 that may not have crossed your minds.
These picks may be less conventional (read: more glasses, pocket protectors, Iq points) but no less deserving of consideration ...
Jim Parsons, Johnny Galecki
Jim Parsons and Johnny Galecki star in The Big Bang Theory on CBS, and make me wish I had joined Av Squad in high school.
Jonathan Capehart
The out Washington Post reporter is a frequent contributor to MSNBC, and his big fancy words like "partisan" always impress me.
Daniel Eric Gold
Daniel plays Ugly Betty's latest nerdy boy-toy (she's used up quite a few). Hopefully he'll stick around awhile.
Nate Silver
I have an equation for everyone's favorite number cruncher: me - you = blue.
John Oliver
Definitely my favorite British faux Daily Show reporter.
