Exclusive: Cedric the Entertainer and Michael Jai White are among the guests to star in a new podcast series from comedian Russell Peters.
The Canadian, who was the first to launch a Netflix original comedy special back in 2013, has teamed up with iHeartMedia and Cloud10 Media to launch Culturally Cancelled.
The series, which launches March 25, will see Peters discuss comedy as well as his other interests such as hip-hop, martial arts, and boxing. Other guests include rapper Lord Finesse, comedian Luenell and former NBA star Rick Fox.
Peters chose the title Culturally Cancelled because he wants to address the cancel culture movement that might take issue with his material. “I always look at it like, my style of comedy and the things I take on onstage and the things I talk about are all in line with what people want to cancel in general. So I wanted to hit it...

Fox has inked a script deal for a comedy project from comedian Russell Peters.
Peters is writing and is attached to the untitled project, which is said to reflect the multicultural environment in which he and his manager brother, Clayton Peters at CPI Management Services, grew up. The Peters brothers have nourished the idea for some time.
"Basically, this is the most honest type of project that we could hope for for Russell," Clayton Peters said. "It's a project based on growing up with our own family, which was a working-class South Asian household."
Last year, Peters was attached to another comedy project set up at Fox through Warner Bros. TV that was loosely based on his life. That project, which also had a script commitment, was written by Tom Brady and produced through the production banner of Tom Werner, Eric Gold and Jimmy Miller.
The comedian has been a mainstay at the Montreal Just for Laughs comedy festival, where he recently performed two soldout shows.
