8:31 Am Pt -- Law enforcement sources tell us ... cops Did, in fact, respond to the club after receiving a call about an "argument at an adult night club." However, we're told Penn was Not arrested -- and a warrant for his arrest has not been issued. In fact, we're told the victim has not come forward to police and cops are not currently investigating. It's possible the victim could still go to cops ... but seems unlikely at this point.

Ironically, the shorter the fight due to a knockout, the greater the value for ticket money when it comes to Ufc knockouts.
It’s pretty amazing to watch a fight conclude after a few short seconds.
The Ultimate Fighting Championships have seen some of the ugliest and fastest knockouts. While some are slow and painful to watch, others have been swift and devastating, so sudden that the match only lasts a few minutes.
For most spectators, the faster a knockout happens, the more thrilling the match is. Ufc events happen every so often, so the record for the fastest knockout is hardly held for long.
Fighters get to redeem themselves when they lose in the shortest bouts while the winners set new records.
The fastest knockouts have not been consistently happening each year. Some date back almost seven years ago. Here’s a list of some of the greatest knockouts in the history of Ufc.

Georges St. Pierre was one of the most decorated, respected, dominant Ufc champions of all time. And one of the only fighters to leave the sport on top, as champion, without tarnishing their image.
Recently, there has been talk of Georges St. Pierre coming back to the fight game, and returning to the Ufc. While plenty of fighters retire then unretire (we’re looking at you, B.J. Penn), the fact that it is the man simply known by his initials, Gsp – universally recognized as the best welterweight in mixed martial arts history – makes the talk notable. And the fact that it is the man himself who is fanning the flames of a comeback, rather than just some unfounded rumour.
It seems as if St. Pierre is getting a little restless in his retirement, despite taking part in a couple of major film projects, like the upcoming Kickboxer remake.

Anthony “Showtime” Pettis will have a lot of challengers waiting for him when he returns to action after coaching the upcoming Season 20 of The Ultimate Fighter, which will consist solely of women’s strawweight fighters and crown the first ever Ufc strawweight champion at the end of the season.
Pettis hasn’t fought since last August (2013), and it will be well over a year out of action for the champ by the time he finally returns to the octagon. Another season of Tuf has come and gone – where do we go from here?
It wasn’t the storybook ending B.J. Penn, or Ufc fans in general, might have hoped for The Prodigy. Even if you aren’t a Penn fan, you have to respect a guy who is one of only two fighters to hold belts in multiple weight classes, and who fought above his natural weight for a large part of his career.
Most of us, however, were suspect when Penn announced that he wanted to fight a third time against the man who took his lightweight title. Was he motivated? Could he beat Frankie Edgar now, years after the first two losses? Could he make the featherweight limit? Would he keep his power? Did he feel he had found a weakness in Edgar? Should he even be in the cage at this point?...

It was a busy weekend in Ufc-land, with two events hosted down in Las Vegas. Saturday’s Ufc 175 has been well-covered, but looming in the shadows on Sunday was The Ultimate Fighter 19 finale.
Tuf 19: Team Edgar vs. Team Penn is probably notorious more for what didn’t happen than what did. The fights simply weren’t there for the first half of the season. It was so bad that Ufc President Dana White publicly stated that it was the “worst” season they had filmed so far.
Was it a sign that the talent pool was simply getting too thin, with two seasons of Tuf per year and many fighters bypassing Tuf and singing directly with the Ufc? Were fighters simply playing it safe, as some coaches have advised in the past, to ensure a shot at victory?
Whatever the reason, there were very few breakout stars. Cathal Pendered...

According to Firhas Zahabi, Georges St. Pierre is looking at a Ufc return – but should he?
Gsp’s coach has said he expects Gsp to return to fighting, but former champ and Gsp victim Matt Hughes recently stated that he feels Gsp should stay retired.
For his part, Zahabi has stated that the Canadian welterweight legend is “more motivated than ever” and it looking to come back strong. He believes a recent Acl injury has added to that motivation. Now, a motivated Gsp is a scary, scary thing. Ask Matt Sera. When Sera landed a surprise knockout blow on Gsp and won the Ufc belt, Gsp refocused, and took the belt back with vicious knees to Sera in their rematch. Ask Josh Koscheck, who was beaten so badly in his second fight with Gsp that he couldn’t board a plane after the fight,...

Lost in the hoopla surrounding the upcoming Ufc 175 on July 5th is the fact that the very next day, the Ufc will be hosting a second event – the Tuf 19 finale, headlined by Edgar vs. Penn 3.
The fight nobody asked for has actually started to intrigue just a little, if only because it’s being held down a weight class, and because Penn seems… oh, no lets not break out the “motivated B.J. Penn” cliché again. However, the fight should at least entertain, and if Penn can somehow pull out a win, despite being a 10-1 underdog at the bookies, then perhaps he can ride off into the sunset (of Hawaii, lucky sob) and enjoy a well-deserved retirement.

Flyweight champ Demetrious Johnson had his belt on the line at Ufc 174 Vancouver Saturday night.
How would the champion fare? How would the return of Andrei Arlovski play out, and which Rory MacDonald would show up?
The card opened with a bout between Canadian robot-dancer and fastest knockout in Ufc history holder Ryan Jimmo going up against surging Ovince St. Preux, who scored a win with a Von Flue choke in his last fight. Holder of a calf slicer submission earlier in his career, St. Pruex’s submission arsenal is impressive, though he hasn’t actually finished with many. That seems as if it’s going to change. This bout was tough to watch due to the finish – as Ovince, who has really come on of late, worked on a kimura in the second round, Jimmo called out that his arm was broken, and the fight was stopped.

Anderson Silva Doesn't Care What You Think
Something happened during the third round of the Anderson Silva-Demian Maia middleweight title fight that pushed the main event into the Twilight Zone.
For the next 10 minutes Silva juked, jived, danced, ran, hid behind the referee and generally mocked Maia all the while fans rained down boos. Anderson was a predator, playing with his wounded prey and the crowd demanded that he finish the fight out of common decency, or at least act like he cared about being there.
At one moment, I fully expected Rod Serling to step out from behind the curtain with a cigarette in his hand to pass along a wise parable of a man destroying his reputation through his own hubris.
Depending upon who you read, Anderson is either a horrible jerk for "clowning around" or Silva is a supremely talented, yet woefully misunderstood martial artist.

Ufc 112: Invincible marks the Middle Eastern debut for the Ultimate Fighting Championship. As with the promotion’s previous invasions of new markets there is more at work than simply who is fighting in the cage.
Huge Favorites and Big Underdogs
When Manny Pacquiao fought Joshua Clottey no one gave the fighter from Ghana much of a chance to defeat boxing’s reigning pound-for-pound king. The fight was unbearably one-sided (it may have been the diarrhea causing Banku and Okra stew that Clottey ate the night before) but that didn’t stop the fans from buying over 700,000 pay-per views.
Ufc 112 finds itself in a similar situation. Two pound-for-pound kings in Anderson Silva and B.J. Penn plus a fading legend in Matt Hughes provide the card big star power. Yet, according to the odds-makers, their collective opponents have a snowball’s chance in hell of winning.

With playoff implications hanging in the balance in the NFL, hot stove moves happening all over baseball and the grand spectacle of the Army/Navy football game, it was an excellent weekend for sports. But anybody who caught Ufc 107 on pay-per-view on Saturday night (December 12) was treated to the best set of performances of the weekend. The show was excellent from top to bottom (save for the typically dull Jon Fitch fight), and featured impressive performances from Frank Mir (who tapped out fellow heavyweight Cheick Kongo in just over a minute), Kenny Florian (who made Clay Guida bleed like a stuck pig before choking him out) and B.J. Penn, who put up a good argument for himself as the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world. He took a skilled wrestler and striker in Diego Sanchez and made him completely impotent. We always knew Madonna was a workout fiend, but we didn't know she worked out this much. In a new photo taken on Sunday in London, Madonna's arms seem to be looking a little too buff. Her veins are protruding and her biceps look somewhat misshapen, as though she has a monster from a science fiction movie growing in there, or she is training to fight Ufc lightweight champion B.J. Penn (which wouldn't be entirely shocking considering the strange championship belt she was wearing on the cover of last year's excellent Hard Candy).
According to her personal trainer Tracy Anderson, Madonna works out two hours a day for six days a week and drinks coconut water to keep her energy levels high. Thanks to the Ufc, the sport of mixed martial arts is pretty huge right now, as evidenced by the number of Hollywood movies that star Mma fighters or involve Mma in some way. Movies like Never Back Down, Redbelt and the upcoming Fighting have been marketing themselves partially based on the fighting style, while action movies like The Scorpion King 2: Rise of a Warrior have started casting Mma fighters as the new b-movie stars. This month, Lionsgate is upping the ante with a direct-to-dvd movie called Never Surrender that stars a number of big name Mma fighters including Georges St. Pierre, Hector Echavarria, Anderson Silva and B.J. Ufc Welterweight Champion Georges St. Pierre cemented his status as mixed martial art’s top pound-for-pound fighter by dominating Lightweight Champion B.J. Penn at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas Saturday night. Ufc President Dana White had called the fight the biggest in the sport’s 15-year history, and it lived up to the hype. The raucous crowd of 14,885 was split between Penn’s Hawaiian fans and the Gsp diehards who travelled all the way from Canada to see the welterweight kingpin, and they weren’t afraid to let themselves be heard. After a disappointing undercard, filled to the brim with decision after decision, the crowd still had the energy to make this fight one of the most memorable live experiences the Ufc had ever seen.
