14 Minutes From Earth (2016) Film Review from the 15th Annual Tribeca Film Festival, a movie directed by Jerry Kolber, Adam “Tex” Davis, Trey Nelson, and Erich Sturm. The line between documentary and narrative filmmaking is a blurry one. A great documentary should tell a story just as well as a narrative film; in its way, it has “characters” and a “plot” the same way works […]...

It can be dangerous to make bold claims for a filmmaker on the basis of one feature, but then Lost in the Sun’s Trey Nelson is hardly a novice. While Lost in the Sun is his writer-director feature debut, Nelson has been working in television, documentaries, and commercials for years, racking up hundreds of credits for networks like A&E, National Geographic, and the History Channel. His experience is evident in every frame of Lost in the Sun, a remarkably assured sun-drenched noir that invites comparison with the early work of Malick and Bogdanovich but has a tone and sensibility all […]...

Josh Duhamel and Josh Wiggins go on the most dangerous thrill ride ever in the trailer for Lost in the Sun.
The indie drama casts Duhamel as a loner named John, who takes a grieving teenage ward Louis (Wiggins) on the road.
What starts as a coming-of-age experience takes a very dark turn when John resorts to a brutal crime to keep their road trip going.
Lost in the Sun was both written and directed by Trey Nelson, who most recently worked on TV with Love Bites.
Duhamel is coming off the one-season police drama Battle Creek, which was axed by CBS this past spring.
Lost in the Sun opens in the Us on November 6.
