The series premiere of “America’s Got Talent: Fantasy League” delivered the reality TV show’s first major twist when Mel B utilized her Golden Buzzer to steal Billy & Emily England from Simon Cowell‘s team. Remember, for NBC’s “AGT” spin-off series, each judge cultivates their own team of 10 all-star acts, fan-favorites and former winners, but the Golden Buzzer twist allows the judges to “steal” someone else’s contestant and advance them into the season finale. (Think of it as “The Voice” on steroids.)
“I feel really excited. I feel amazing,” Mel B proclaimed during the January 1 episode after the confetti fell onto the brother-sister rollerblading duo. The camera then cut to Simon, who gritted his teeth in anger. Watch the Golden Buzzer video above.
Emily seemed to rub salt in Simon’s wound when she told host Terry Crews, “Honestly, when Simon called me, the 11-year-old Emily was a little bit upset.

The fourth “America’s Got Talent” live performance show of Season 18 showcased a somewhat rare act: a female magician! On Tuesday night, 24-year-old Anna DeGuzman from New Jersey welcomed all four “AGT” judges onto the stage to help her out with her card trick. (Read our minute-by-minute live blog.) One by one, Anna was able to locate their missing playing cards by catching them midair, spitting them out of her mouth, or pulling them from a cake. If she receives enough votes from viewers at home, she could make history for solo female magicians everywhere. What did You think of Anna’s latest performance?

“America’s Got Talent” continued its Season 18 live shows on Tuesday, September 12 with the fourth round of performances in the “Qualifiers.” Judges Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum and Sofia Vergara take a back seat during this stage of the competition because all of the power is now in America’s hands. The audience votes for their favorite acts overnight with results airing on Wednesday. Only two of the 11 acts in each of the five “Qualifiers” will advance straight to “The Finals.”
The “Qualifiers 4” episode featured performances from Golden Buzzer recipients Chibi Unity, magician Anna Deguzman, singers D’Corey Johnson, Roland Abante and Kylie Frey, chorale group Freedom Singers, dancer and contortionist Mariandrea, comedian Orlando Leyba, puppet act Puppet Simon & The Cowbelles, variety act Shadow Ace, and acrobat Zion Clark.

Japanese dance group Chibi Unity took the stage on Tuesday night during the fourth “America’s Got Talent” live performance show of Season 18. (Read our minute-by-minute live blog.) Once again, they blew the judges and audience away with their synchronized shadow movements and beyond-belief dance moves. Chibi Unity previously made a name for themselves by receiving the group Golden Buzzer in the audition round, and in the September 12 live show they took things up a level as they performed to the song “Renegades” by One Ok Rock. What did You think of Chibi Unity’s latest performance?

This summer, “America’s Got Talent” returned for its 18th season with Terry Crews resuming his hosting duties and Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum, Howie Mandel and Sofía Vergara once again making up the judges panel. As in the past, this year’s champion will take home a $1 million cash prize and be able to showcase their talent as a headlining act in Las Vegas. Only 55 acts get to perform in the “AGT” Qualifiers to compete for America’s vote and hopefully move one step closer to the finale.
Tuesday’s “Qualifiers 4” features encore performances from Golden Buzzer recipient Chibi Unity, plus magician Anna Deguzman, singers D’Corey Johnson, Roland Abante and Kylie Frey, chorale group Freedom Singers, dancer and contortionist Mariandrea, comedian Orlando Leyba, puppet act Puppet Simon & The Cowbelles, variety act Shadow Ace, and acrobat Zion Clark.
