One Direction are getting super sized! Morgan Spurlock is set to direct the 3D documentary about the teen sensations.
Following in the footsteps of Justin Bieber and Katy Perry the movie will combine concert material with behind the scenes footage, charting the bands journey from their X Factor beginning to world wide domination.
“This is an incredible opportunity and an amazing moment in time for the band,” Spurlock said. “To capture this journey and share it with audiences around the world will be an epic undertaking that I am proud to be a part of.”
Spurlock first made his name in 2004 with Oscar nominated documentary Super Size Me, where he looked at effects of fast food by consuming nothing but McDonalds for thirty days. He has gone on to make other documentary features such as Where in the World Is Osama Bin Laden?, The Greatest Movie Ever Sold and TV documentary series 30 Days.
