“What are you gonna do against a hostile spirit?” “I’m gonna smash it in the face.” Those who caught the New Zealand horror-comedy Housebound last year may remember this spirited exchange, which perfectly captures the attitude of protagonist Kylie Bucknell, one who is not the type to cower from the paranormal activity that runs rampant in her mother’s home.
After receiving positive reviews across the board—including Peter Jackson of Lord of the Rings and Dead Alive fame—director Kylie Bucknell’s Housebound will be reimagined for North American audiences by New Line.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, New Line, aka the house that Freddy built, has acquired the rights to remake Housebound, with Johnstone attached as a producer. The folks at New Line are looking for a writer to pen the adaptation, as well as a director for the project (perhaps they will be one and the...

“What are you gonna do against a hostile spirit?” “I’m gonna smash it in the face.” Kylie Bucknell is definitely not the type to cower from the slightest paranormal activity, but when she’s placed on house arrest in her intensely haunted childhood home, her nerves and ghost-fighting skills will be tested. A horror-comedy that had its first Us showing at SXSW earlier this year, Housebound has unleashed a new trailer.
“Kylie Bucknell is forced to return to the house she grew up in when the court places her on home detention. Her punishment is made all the more unbearable by the fact she has to live there with her mother Miriam – a well-intentioned blabbermouth who’s convinced that the house is haunted. Kylie dismisses Miriam’s superstitions as nothing more than a distraction from a life occupied by boiled vegetables & small-town gossip. However, when she too becomes privy...

So Gossip Girl was horrifyingly crazy, but in a good way. Except for the whole Vanessa and Dan story line, which doesn't need tampering with, especially with their "roadblock" of the week.
Chuck's Family. A Bunch of Bassholes…
Chuck gets a rude wake up call when two hotel guards enter his suite to throw him out of his own hotel. On orders from Elizabeth, his mother! But Chuck wants to know what the deal is and gets the lowdown from the bastard himself: Jack Bass. After telling Chuck that he's been had, it is Elizabeth who painfully asks for Chuck to leave. Later Cb calls up the troops and he tells them that Jack must have something on Elizabeth for her to be a part of the ruse and he has to find out what it is.
Chuck confronts Elizabeth about her duplicity and what does Jack has on her.
