Fans that remember the In The Dark anthology shorts "The Keeper" and "Dummy" will be happy to know that even though the group has been quiet for a while, they've just arisen with a trailer for their new segment, "To Be Loved."
Honestly, that Charlie McCarthy ventriloquist mask these guys chose to use in "Dummy" still freaks us out so we're very excited to see just what they have in store. We'll have more on "To Be Loved" as it becomes available.
For now check out the trailer below, and be sure to visit the official In the Dark website and 'like' In the Dark on Facebook.

While the first two episodes featured an axe-wielding ventriloquist dummy and a supernatural demon from hell, that was just for starters. This time things get really twisted and played for comedy. "To Be Loved" is a dark comedy with...

Horror anthology 'In the Dark', previously known as 'Night Terrors', has managed to score one heck of sweet deal by acquiring Playboy mansion House Bunny hottie Gwendolyn Sweet (below). The sexy 26 year old bunny girl will star in the next installment in the anthological series entitled 'To Be Loved', a twisted tale of love and sex gone wrong. The series of horrors from writer/director team Chris St. Croix and David Buchert sees Croix helm on his own this time around. Regarding the casting of Sweet he stated, 'Gwen is an incredible combination of sexy and sweet which is perfect for her character and she is fearless on camera. Trust me, if you like her pictures, you'll get to see a whole lot more of her in the film.' Now that's one heck of a promise! Head on over to the official site at the link below.

Here at Dread Central we were lucky enough to host the first two episodes of the anthology series Night Terrors. However, the collection got a little bigger and is growing into the anthology feature film, In The Dark.
Having previously aired The Keeper and Dummy, we've come to love our Night Terrors films, but we also love seeing them spread their wings and grow into something bigger. The are now starting a fundraising campaign to raise cheddar for a feature length film that will contain two additional episodes.
We hate to see them go, but wish In the Dark nothing but the best. Check out the new trailer below and be sure to visit the In the Dark website and like In the Dark on Facebook. Go get 'em guys! Tell 'em Uncle Creepy and Gash sent ya!

I love this story! Chris St. Croix and David Buchert are the co-creators of a new web series entitled Night Terrors. They've had the first episode, "The Keeper", taken down from several sites around the internet for containing "objectionable content". Well, the boys contacted Dread Central with their conundrum, and (being the fans of objectionable content that we are) we said, "Boys, you've got a home."

The runtime is 25 minutes.

Zombie Mma Fight: “A Denver based Mixed Martial Arts promotion is hosting a unique event in October with one central theme; Zombies.
Promoter Seth Daniels of Fight to Win Mma, attributes the idea to his own love of the horror genre and certain local fighter’s devotion to the zombie culture. After seeing that a number of fighters have expressed their love of zombie movies, books and the increasingly popular ‘crawls’ that are popping up around the Colorado area, Daniels created the fight card to tie in with their interest and the upcoming Halloween holiday season.
The event will include a $1000 costume contest, free beer for those that come dressed as a zombie, and a number of surprises that only Fight to Win Mma can provide.

Filmmakers David Buchert and Chris St.Croix have an obvious love of “Tales from the Crypt” and “Tales from the Darkside”-style anthology programs, as evidenced in the effective new trailer for their upcoming series “Night Terrors”. The two completed episodes — namely, Chris St. Croix’s “The Keeper” and David Buchert’s “Dummy” — certainly look promising, and should be released in an as-of-yet undetermined format in the next few months. I’m guessing this will be some sort of web series, which, of course, would be extremely cool. We’ll keep you posted as more information on the project becomes available. Swing by the official YouTube page to stay to-up-date. Expect “The Keeper” to hit in November, while “Dummy” takes a stab in December...

There’s a new anthology in town, and its name is “Night Terrors”. No, not this “Night Terrors,” but a completely different horror series by David Buchert and Chris St. Croix. The red band-style trailer for the horror anthology, has been released, featuring stories “The Keeper” written and directed by St. Croix and “Dummy” written and directed by Buchert. While the anthology finds its inspiration from the old-school “Tales From the Crypt” series, the scares have been ramped up to scare today’s contemporary audiences. In my opinion, these stories seem like fresh, new takes on classic tropes in the world of horror, such as the masked killer and the scary, dangerous...

Bikers, babes, blood and a guy wearing one of the most disturbing Charlie McCarthy masks you'll ever see. All of this and much more will be waiting for you with the new anthology series Night Terrors.
Created by David Buchert and Chris St. Croix, Night Terrors is wrapping its first two 25-minute episodes, The Keeper and Dummy, and trust me when I tell you that both of these episodes look very impressive.
Take a look for yourself. The Not Safe For Work trailer is waiting below. And tell me if that dude in the dummy mask isn't the freakiest thing you've seen in ages. Currently in post-production, The Keeper is scheduled to be completed and released in November with Dummy following in December. We'll keep you posted.

The Film:
Troma gets some (maybe justified) flack for the stuff they release. If you’re a fun loving, open-minded horror fans, you will probably appreciate a few too many Dtv films, and that’s okay. Troma, contrary to popular belief, still does release some decent, if not really fun films, but Blood Oath is not – and I mean Not- one of them. Even Tiffany Shepis can’t save this.
A group a kids (yawn) go camping in the woods, where they sit around the camp fire (yawn, man I’m getting tired) and tell of the Krupp kid urban legend..ZZzzz…as they want to find the…zzzzz…..z..z..z.huh?…truth about this legend, only to die….zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz………..horrifically at the hands of some….wtf?…Leatherface copycat that wears a shredded Raggedy Anne dress…yawn…zzzzz…………………….zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz………….directed by David Buchert.
Okay, so maybe I didn’t fall asleep during Blood Oath,...

Group of friends venture out on a hiking trip through the woods to investigate an urban legend surrounding a cabin and those that find it, are never found again. Unfortunately, they discover said urban legend to be true when they locate the cabin and the crazed killer that resides in the place.
Throwback to the slasher films of the 80's, at times, captures the spirit of those films, especially during a deliciously trashy opening sequence and a vignette centered around the main characters sitting around a campfire telling each other urban legends and tall tales. Blood Oath David Buchert is the director behind the recently released slasher film Blood Oath starring legendary scream queen Tiffany Shepis (Night of the Demons). Blood Oath deals with a group of friends on a weekend camping trip who decide to investigate a local urban legend. Unaware of just how true this urban legend is, they are forced into a fight for survival against a horrific monster who roams the woods feasting on the bodies of who ever enters his domain. With Blood Oath, director David Buchert was able to capture the nostalgia of the slasher films of yesteryear that horror fans grew up watching such as Friday the 13th, The Forest, Madman, etc. He showed an ability to play up the inherent spookiness of sitting around a camp fire telling urban legends to one another. He showed an ability with Blood Oath to remind slasher fans why they so...
