We Are Not Alone, a documentary from filmmaker Serena DC (Beyond the Grave), has been acquired by Uncork’d Entertainment and is out now on Digital and DVD.
The question of whether or not we are alone in the universe has been answered. Serena DC & Michael Mazzola meet with the world’s leading Ufologists & Contactees to discover who these extraterrestrial visitors are & why they are visiting earth.
“Timely with the current news trends of UFOs and extraterrestrials existing, there’s real appetite for documentaries on aliens – and this is one of the best”, said Keith Leopard, President Uncork’d Entertainment. “Even if you’re just a passing interest in conspiracy theories, you don’t want to miss We Are Not Alone.”

Podcast app Stitcher closes on August 29, which could leave many podcast listeners wondering what podcast app to switch to on their phone.
The answer really depends on what type of podcast listener you are, and which phone you have. Here are our recommendations.
Apple Podcasts
If you have an iPhone, you probably already have the purple-coloured Apple Podcasts app on it - unless you uninstalled it, of course. (You can get it back again in the App store if so).
A few years ago, Apple Podcasts was a functional player but seemed to have been forgotten by Apple, and appeared to be quite buggy. Recently, though, many of the issues with it have been fixed, and with the advent of Apple's paid subscriptions, you can support some of your favourite podcasters and get additional content too.
When iOS 17 comes out, probably next month, you'll get episode artwork as well, so...

Dave Sirulnick spent nearly three decades at MTV, helping launch the signature “Week in Rock” news franchise and overseeing “Total Request Live” — as well as reality series including “Laguna Beach,” “Cribs” and “My Super Sweet 16.” He spearheaded MTV’s Video Music Awards, as well as its ground-breaking “Choose or Lose” presidential campaign coverage and news programming stemming from world events such as Hurricane Katrina, the 9/11 terrorist attacks and the 2003 war in Iraq. Sirulnick rose to executive vice president for multiplatform production, news and music for MTV before departing in 2015 as part of a major Viacom reorg. With the news that Paramount Global has eliminated the last vestiges of MTV News (which had already been significantly downsized), Variety asked Sirulnick — now president of entertainment at RadicalMedia — to share his thoughts.

My, Hollywood Week, how you’ve changed. Monday’s American Idol brought us to Los Angeles’ Orpheum Theatre, where 167 lucky contestants — a handful of whom I actually recognized — returned for another chance to impress the judges.
As Katy Perry explained atop the endless two-hour event, “Hollywood this year is… different.” More specifically, the contestants are now being asked to select a genre — pop, rock, R&b, soul, country and singer/songwriter — in which they would like to compete. Additionally, the judges are hearing all 167 contestants sing solo to get a better sense of who they are as individuals.

After five episodes of “American Idol” focused on auditions, the show shifted to Hollywood week on March 16. Expect plenty of fireworks as the three judges — pop princess Katy Perry, country superstar Luke Bryan and Oscar-winning singer/songwriter Lionel Richie — decide which of the hopefuls to take forward in the competition and which will get a farewell hug from host Ryan Seacrest.
Over the course of the three episodes devoted to Hollywood Week (the others airs next Sunday and Monday) the contestants sing in three rounds: lines of 10, groups, and solos. The judges will winnow the list down to just 40 who will sing in a showcase set to air on Sunday, March 29.
Those contenders will be culled down to just half that number and that Top 20 will be judged on both solo performances and celebrity duets over the course of three episodes. Once the live playoffs of “American Idol” season 18 begin,...
