More like The Ten Episodes of Chloe King. ABC Family put the cat out for good when it canceled The Nine Lives of Chloe King yesterday due to low ratings. The series was based on the young adult novels written by Liz Braswell, about a teen girl who discovers she has feline powers and is a warrior in the battle between an ancient race and human beings. Phew, that's sounds like a lot for a young chick to handle.
The series started off well thanks to the popularity of the books, drawing more than two million viewers for its debut. But come finale time in mid-August, that number had dwindled to just above one million... More >>...

ABC Family has decided to pull the plug on their freshman drama The Nine Lives of Chloe King. The TV series lasted for 10 episodes, running from June 14th until August 16th.
The Nine Lives of Chloe King debuted to 2.2 million viewers and was cable's fourth-highest rated show amoung females 12-34. Unfortunately, over the course of the season, audience interest waned and the season (now series) finale attracted a little more than one million viewers. It was the least-watched summer series on ABC Family.
Based on a series of books by Liz Braswell, the TV series revolves around a teenager named Chloe King (Skyler Samuels) who discovers that she is the descendant of an ancient race with cat-like heightened abilities.
The last episode aired on August 16th and unfortunately left storylines unresolved. On the positive side, for fans who haven't had...

Sometimes a cliffhanger-filled finale can force a network's hand on a renewal. Other times, a cliffhanger-filled pilot can simply leave fans feeling frustrated and unfulfilled after a cancellation. Regular viewers of "The Nine Lives of Chloe King" find themselves in the latter camp, as ABC Family has opted not to renew the first-year drama after only 10 increasingly low-rated episodes. First to report the news was EW.com. Based on the novel series by Liz Braswell, "The Nine Lives of Chloe King" featured Skyler Samuels in the title role, as a young woman who learns on her 16th...

It turns out that Chloe King only had one life -- at least in the form of the ABC Family drama "The Nine Lives of Chloe King." On Thursday (Sept. 15), the network announced that it will not be picking up the show for a second season, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The show was based on the book series of the same name by Liz Braswell and chronicled the doings of teen Chloe King (Skyler Samuels), who discovers she has cat-like powers -- including nine lives.
The series concluded its 10-episode summer run in August. It was also nominated for two Teen Choice Awards -- proving that praise from critics, peers and teens just doesn't equal a guaranteed hit.

In one fell swoop, ABC Family has ended the rest of Chloe King's lives, as the cable net has pulled the plug on The Nine Lives of Chloe King after 10 episodes, according to Entertainment Weekly. The show completed its first (and now, only) season on August 16th.
It's no surprise, as the show's low ratings and failure to capture a significant buzz were writing on the wall early on. Still, it's disappointing because the show grew with each episode and had opened up some rather intriguing plotlines for next season. The demise of Chloe King leaves gymnastics ensemble Make It or Break It as the only drama on the network still in limbo. (Raven-Symone's comedy State of Georgia is currently awaiting word on its fate, as well.)

ABC Family is cancelling freshman series Nine Lives of Chloe King, sources say.
The show was based on the book series by Liz Braswell about a girl who discovers that she is a descendant of an ancient race with cat-like powers.
The news comes as ABC Family is expected to order a pilot from Gilmore Girls writer Amy Sherman-Palladino called Strut, about a Las Vegas showgirl (take that Pat Robertson!) who marries a Texan and becomes a instructor for a misfit high school drill team. Network also expected to order an action-drama pilot Intercept about college crime fighters.

The Liars are ill at ease when they each have to confront complicated matters in “Surface Tension,” an all new episode of ABC Family’s hit original series, Pretty Little Liars, premiering Tuesday, July 26th (8:00 – 9:00 p.m. Et/Pt).
Its moving day for Emily, and with a new place to call home, she is feeling more like a guest than part of the family. Hanna is also feeling uneasy, but for her it is in regard to Caleb’s continued shady “business” dealings and his nonchalant attitude about it. And when Toby makes a surprising discovery, Spencer is thrown for a loop by the find and her father’s reaction to it.
With the girls already on edge, could they be sitting targets for “A’s” next move? Or does “A” have bigger plans for the four and is just making them wait?
Meanwhile, Aria is put in...
