Early work in improvisational comedy. Was an original member of
Gerard Alessandrini's hilariously musical satire "Forbidden Broadway," creating
devastating song parodies on everyone from Andrea McArdle and Mary Martin to
Carol Channing and Angela Lansbury. The show started in cabaret form in December of
1981 and made it to off-Broadway in 1982.
Won several Los Angeles based stage acting awards: Los Angeles Drama
Critics Circle Award and Dramalogue Award for "The Model Apartment"
(1988) and a Drama-Logue Award for "The House of Blue Leaves"
(1987).
Attended Johnny Depp's Sunset Blvd. club the Viper Room for a 2000 benefit in support the late actress Susan Tyrrell who had recently lost her legs to a rare blood disorder. Webb auctioned off an old pair of Susan's shoes.
