Upcoming Australian comedy Outland is set to have its World Premiere at the Seattle Gay & Lesbian Film Festival on October 18.
Based on the only short film to play both the Melbourne Queer Film Festival and the World Science Fiction Convention, this six-part comedy series focuses on members of a gay science-fiction fan club and features Adam Richard, Christine Anu, Ben Gerrard, Paul Ireland, and Toby Truslove. It is produced by Laura Waters (Angry Boys, Summer Heights High, John Safran’s Race Relations) of Princess Pictures.
Open about their sexuality but not so much about their geekdom, each member takes a turn at hosting the meetings. They soon discover that even if you’re out of the closet, it doesn’t mean there aren’t still skeletons in there… Outland is a series about belonging, no matter who you are, and how everyone searches to find a place to fit in.

Today is both International Women's Day and Mardi Gras and as a woman (though not quite an International Woman yet, not sure how to go about that part) and a lapsed Catholic, that gives me two reasons to celebrate tonight. Or, wait, do you celebrate International Women's Day or do you sit around in quiet contemplation reading depressing articles like I'm pretty sure you're supposed to do on World AIDS Day? Because I feel like if you are a woman-person (as I am) or are a man who has aligned himself positively with woman-people (in that you're a believer in gender equality and not in the "so women can see how good they really have it" not actually friendly to women way, like in the "people are people and should all be treated with the same amount of respect and consideration until they prove themselves to be a utter waste...

Whatever you do, don't mention Balthazar Getty to Sienna Miller. Yesterday on Australia's Matt & Jo radio show, Adam Richard interviewed the bombastic blonde and her G.I. Joe castmate, Rachel Nichols. Wisely beating around the bush, Richard asked Nichols about sharing screentime with Getty when they both worked on Alias. She responded sweetly—if you consider "he's definitely not ugly" sweet. However, when the DJ dared asked Miller if she knew the married man with whom she's been spotted trotting topless around the globe, things went a bit sour. "Oh piss off," she ranted. "Honestly, we're here to talk about a film. You've called us...

The actress had been appearing on Australia's Fox FM to discuss G.I. Joe: The Rise Of Cobra with co-star Rachel Nichols when presenter Adam Richard asked her about the relationship. "Oh p**s off, honestly we're here to talk about the film. You've called us scrags, bitches, knocked-up," she said. "We are not here to talk about him. But, (more)...

Note to self for all journalists: Don’t ask Sienna Miller about Balthazar Getty. He was the actor, and married man, she was cavorting around with topless last year on a yacht. And she doesn’t want to talk about it! Sienna is currently in Australia to promote G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra, and was a guest on a radio show there this morning, along with her co-star in the film Rachel Nichols. The DJ, Adam Richard, decided to delve right into the gossip, rather than talk about the ladies’ upcoming film. Richard didn’t disguise his...

Joe: The Rise of Cobra' actress flew into a rage and told a radio host to "piss off" when asked if she is still dating on/off lover Balthazar Getty. During a phone interview with Australian radio station Fox FM, Sienna fumed: "You've called us scrags, bitches, knocked-up. We are not here to talk about him [Getty]. But, yes, I know him and everything is good, thank you. "What a scoop! Congratulations! You are really, really clever!" Radio host Adam Richard tried to apologise for upsetting the 27-year-old blonde star by saying: "I didn't mean to step on your toes." However, Sienna refused...

Director Jon Favreau, who also has a cameo in the new Marvel Comics movie, added a short clip of Jackson, as Fury, chatting with Iron Man Robert Downey Jr at the every end of the film.
The clip didn't feature in early press and audience screenings of the film, so as not to spoil the surprise.
Jackson has always been candid about his rumoured Nick Fury cameo in Iron Man, insisting last year he was not in the film.
He said, "Everybody keeps saying, 'Aren't you in Iron Man?' and I keep going, 'Look, the guy in the comic looks just like me and if they do cast it and they don't cast me, there's gonna be some problems.'
Australian journalist Adam Richard tells MovieHole.net, "The final spool of the film was not screened to journos and reviewers... It's an awesome 40 seconds or so with Stark and Nick Fury."...
